Almine Rech opened on April 1st, 1997 in the 13th arrondissement in Paris. The gallery was founded on a minimal and conceptual axis, representing artists such as James Turrell, John McCracken and Joseph Kosuth. In addition to its stable of internationally recognized mid-career and emerging artists, it has always been the gallery’s mission to continually seek out and include new artists to its program. The gallery has held longstanding relationships with artists like John McCracken and James Turrell and has since started working with and representing artists such as Günther Förg, Mark Hagen, Alex Israel, Jeff Koons, Richard Prince, Julian Schnabel, Taryn Simon and DeWain Valentine, among others. In 2006 the gallery moved to the Marais district and in 2008 inaugurated a second exhibition space in Brussels. In March 2013, Almine Rech inaugurated its new Paris space at 64 rue de Turenne. In June 2014, Almine Rech opened a gallery in Mayfair, London.
If you grew up in Accra, during the late 80s, 90s and early 2000s, you were likely to be drawn to the paintings at the Movie theatres. As a boy, I learnt to draw from those action movie posters. Sad to know that industry is dead.

The single breast in the Bedroom box reminds me of ' The Hand ' in the Munsters TV. series which was kept in a box. Ah well art is open to personal interpretation. Tom must have seen that program on TV
Just like how we can have a Jazz-Rock fuse like the band Chicago similarly a Pop art- Abstract fuse. Hey would have been cool to Jam with Tom on bongos on one of his music nights. The most famous Artist/ Rock musician is Ronnie Wood.🎨🎸😄😎
