Hi friend. Thanks for visiting my channel. The most important thing you need to know about my channel is that I like keeping it real and down to earth.
I am just an average Joe trying to make it in the world like the rest of you. My videos cover a broad variety of subjects like nature and the outdoors, cooking, homesteading, etc. Basically, anything I think you guys might enjoy or find useful. My goal is to share my knowledge and experience with you by creating helpful videos that are informative and educational. I am just one guy with a camera making videos, not a Hollywood studio. My videos may not be the most polished but I do hope you enjoy them and find them helpful.

Nice job. FYI, on a subpanel, the green bonding screw is removed completely (i.e. the grounds and neutrals are separated. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Could you help me with this? I have a mobile home and the old light switch’s are exactly like this but instead of 2 different sets of wire there is 3 I followed this video exactly and the light turns on but I flip the switch to the off position the breaker pops.
It may be time to call in an expert who can physically examine the situation and find out what is going on. It is impossible for me to do this without being there in person.

If a breaker is popping, this is an indicator of a direct short, and that is no good. Please do not use this switch until this issue is fixed. Leave that breaker in the off position until this situation is corrected. It may be time to call in an electrician. Something is not right, and it is impossible for me to advise you about something I can not see and perform tests on to figure out what is going on.
@@thejungleexplorer I'm just starting to butcher a few every month. I have access to many New Hampshire Red eggs from a friend to hatch. I was wonder how old your "chicks" are? I would like to butcher some but just how young or what weight is practical?
Thank you , RV Onan shutting down when A/C turned on, noted idle arm over working. Did your clean system as suggested works great. 2 gallon gas , (Used less than one) 3 ft of fuel line and sea foam. follow instructions. A cheap fix.
Hey I know you made this video for your fans request and you may already know this ..but I want to point something out, hopefully without sounding rude. This comparison is sorta redundant because y'all are comparing 2 different style of rounds with 2 brands so it's basically an arbitrary comparison. What I mean is...CCI makes an actual 40 grain subsonic that would equate to the Aguila subsonic and vise versa. Aguila makes a quiet lr that is under 1000fps called the super colibri. It's a 20 grain @590 fps. Both of these rounds will usually need manual cycling in the average semi auto 22lr due to lack of pressure. They will say it right on the box. With that said...I personally don't buy Aguila because It's hard to find where I am, but also because I've seen lots of real world issues with them even though everyone online says they're so great. I can say that my Ruger hasn't had much of a problem with subsonics other than the occasional failed primer. I sometimes wonder if agulas get moved around to much and it messes em up. I would totally use quiet 22 in certain situations. Just a cpl months ago I dispatched a groundhog with one and it penetrated it all the way through surprisingly. Idk ..thats my 25¢
I appreciate your comment. One thing that I would like you to know about this video, to give some perspective, is that, this video was recorded during the Obama presidency when ammunition was almost impossible to come by, especially .22 ammunition. .22 Ammo was out of stock everywhere, and you were not even able to back order it. I say this just to make it clear that I was doing comparisons on ammo that I was lucky enough to get back then. I never walked into a Walmart, Academy, or any other sporting goods store that I did not immediately check to see if they had any .22 ammo in stock. If there was, I bought as much as I could, and there were one or two-box limits on .22 ammo back then.
@@thejungleexplorer Oh I see...well that makes sense.I remember when that was happening and I worry it may happen again soon. Let's hope not, but idk. Less than a year ago I made it a point to invest in a new 22lr, mid grade scope, and eventually some ammo and man was it expensive. Just the rifle and scope was 500$. Since then I've amassed 1200 rounds of different varieties because I had to take the time to learn what worked for my particular rifle. Lol... even for 22 it's still expensive if you don't buy in bulk.. but I've learned a lot and am still in the process of learning (tho I suppose everyone else is too). Allow me one more tangent lol.. Personally I think that if someone wants to be super quiet and like urban-warefare style tactical with their 22lr...they need to invest in a can/silencer. A subsonic 22 with a proper silencer is more quiet than a break barrel air rifle... it's amazing. If one can't afford to put a silencer on they 22lr (like me), and they want as little report as possible, then 22lr quiets are the only other practical option. Like you've pointed out they are substantially and consistently more quiet than the subsonics. One could even point out that not all mid grade subsonics are subsonic because you will occasionally get one that breaks 1100fps. Lastly, the biggest comparison to keep in mind about quiet rounds is mass of the projectile. I opt for the CCI because they are 40 grains. They may have less flat trajectory and less range but they will be accurate and have more energy on impact. They are super effective for short distance small game.
@@Micheal313 No disagreement here. $500 for a $22 LR rifle? That is expensive. I don't think I have ever paid more than $250 for a 22LR. What kind did you get?
Due to the ammo shortage during the Obama years, I decided to invest in an Air Rifle. I bought a Benjamin Marauder in .25 caliber. Once I got it tuned up, it is quieter than the CCI Quiet .22 ammo in this video. Well, at least the gun is. The impact of the .25 pellet is pretty loud, though. But there is a huge difference in accuracy. It takes some practice and a good scope with bullet drop compensation, but here is a video of what I can do with it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-szgg0cTQstA.htmlsi=bqo097gYHu0sWPYm
@@thejungleexplorer I really like air rifles too especially break barrels , because they are so simple and reliable. But it was 500$(including tax) altogether for a simple savage 64 and a good Bushnell scope. I think the rifle itself was 200$. I realize they used to be 99$(which is kinda a funny dichotomy of the times). I would have bought a cz had I known better. (My father knew better but he's a weird narcissist who gives advice when it makes him feel superior. Forgive me with that tangent but I mean to imply that I learn everything the hard way. But anyway.. I bought a pricey scope because all the previous 100-150$ scopes I bought have failed me. At the time I bought it I was so sick and tired of failed equipment that the only thing on my mind was to secure something for myself that was tried and true.
I just purchased this and put it together in my garage. You made those plastic washers look easy. Haha. It's dark out now, so I have to wait until tomorrow when I get home from work to try it out. Thank you for the video, I'm glad you like it because I was also wondering what more you would get out of the more expensive one.
The problem is that the rubber gas piston buffer disintegrates from solvent getting into the gas system from improper cleaning technique. This gun MUST have the barrel removed from the gun to clean it. If you don't, the solvent will migrate down through the barrel gas ports into the gas system and melt the gas piston buffer and turn it into black gummy tar. The gas system must be kept clean and free of wet solvent and gun oil. MUST! It will get dirty from powder residue. That is just the nature of the beast. But it will run for hundreds of rounds like that if you keep the solvent out of the gas system. When you sprayed the solvent into it you just contaminated the gas system and started the buffer disintegration all over again. That black gunk is the rubber buffer cushion melting from solvent, not gunpowder residue! If you do as I tell you, this gun will function fine for hundreds of rds. You must replace the rubber buffer and clean the black tar out and NEVER get wet solvent in there again! When you clean the gas piston and gas pressure regulator valve, dry them thoroughly before reinstalling them. I could not tell, but does your pressure regulator piston still have it's rubber cushion intact around the middle of it? It needs to be there to compress and adjust for varying gas pressures of different rounds. These buffer cushions are available from Numrich arms. You will never be able to keep ahead of the black tar gumming up the action and slowing it down until you do this! The gunpowder residue isn't the problem, the buffer melting from solvent is! This is a classic example of why these guns were discontinued, because owners did not understand how to clean the gun and blamed the design. So why do I sound so disgusted? Because I spent 2 and a half hours last night cleaning one of these and getting the black tarry crap out of it and replacing the gas piston cushion and putting it back in operation again! These are beautifully made guns. I don't like that it is only a 3 rd mag with the plug pin removed, but that is the result of the gas system taking up the room for the 4th rd. Other than that these are beautiful well balanced guns that are just amazing to shoot. I am looking for a 20 ga now. REMEMBER! remove the barrel to clean it.... and punch the gas ports in the barrel with a pipe cleaner to get the solvent out of there also before you put it back together.
Yes. Many commenters have corrected me on this over the past seven years since this video was posted. Look through the comments, and you will find this stated over and over again.
It's not ah-gee-la tho. Mexicans pronounce the U slightly. Maybe not as much as dude does in video but it's definitely not pronounced "geela". It's actually more similar to how we annunciate Christian Aguilera in U.S.
The motion detection is in the field of the camera. So wherever the camera is pointed, that is where it detects movement. This is a PTZ camera, so it can be pointed down.
I've got mine mounted on a savage axis 2 comp trigger 30.06 ! Surprisingly good scope for the price aspeaclily considering when just now sep 6 2024 bought a great vortex crossfire II 6-18 that came with no rings no flip caps, but they do throw in a nice micro fiber cleaning cloth. I'd rather have the rings and flip caps 😂
Thanks for your clear video. My 2002 Elantra has a Small top plastic tank leak. Watching your video shows me it's rather straight forward to do. I'm pretty good at being mechanically inclined and have done numerous jobs on my Elantra and previous cars in the past. My only issue is lack of patience and easy frustration if things don't go right. My now late father was totally mechanically inclined and could do just about anything. He would coach me to keep my cool and not get too frustrated if things don't go right. I miss him....😢 That said a few months ago I replaced my valve cover and gasket which went prettywell. This radiator job you show well here is not much more difficult to do if one just keeps one's head clear, pays a little bit of attention and not rush things... I appreciate your clear video and feel that I can do my own radiator myself. My Elantra is a manual so I won't have to do those transmission cooler lines as such one less thing to do.😄 I will watch your video again before I do my own radiator install..... Thanks again.😎👍
I am glad my video was helpful. Yes, staying cool is key to getting things done. I fully understand the frustration that working on mechanical things can lead to. If I get frustrated and feel my blood start to get hot, I walk away, go get a cold drink, maybe watch a show or something, and then come back when I am calmer. Best of luck to you.
This is awesome! Thanks!! I need to build a new door latch to help my dad. He can't seem to operate a normal metal gate latch (the stick and the curved C shape thing that go together to keep the gate closed). So, I'm going to have to build something like this. I've got scrap 2x4s. This should help him be able to use the gate without frustration.
Very cool project. Definitely upgrading my little bait bucket. Even if wears out air pump prematurely, I can get another one (stow in my truck) and repeat. Thanks!!!
You would be surprised at how long these little motors will last even at this voltage. I have never worn one out and have run it for days on end. What actually does wear out (but also takes a long time) is the little plastic pump.
you bitch about going through a half dozen boxes a year but increasing the voltage will just burn the motor out twice as fast, so whats the point?, why bother spending $40 bucks to nigger rig a 10 dollar pump thats gonna last a day if youre gonna go that route you might a well just buy something better like a portable compressor or air mattress inflator for half the price and hook it to an old car battery...
Jungle Explorer I have the same switch except mine has 3 sets of wires whereas yours has two. How would this work with having 3 individual sets of wires to run to each switch? I don’t see how I would get the third set through the back of the blue box.
It is really hard for me to give you advice on such an unusual setup without physically being present to look at it and see what exactly is going on. There is no logical reason that three sets of wires should be going to a single outlet of this kind. This leads me to be leave that there must be some special reason for why it has been wired this way. Some investigation would need to be done.
@@thejungleexplorer there is 3 switches side by side and they are joined together by the 3rd wire almost like they are chained together. I noticed if one is not wired none of the 3 switches will work.
@@Barredspark6013 Okay, this makes a lot more sense. You have one incoming power source that is feeding three different devices. People seem to be able to visualize water flow better than electricity, so I will use water to help you understand what you are looking at. Think of the switches like a 3-way garden hose garden control valve. You screw it onto your outside faucet and connect three hoses, one to each spigot. Each spigot has a control valve to let water out or stop it. Does this make sense to you? Okay, this is the same thing going on in your switch junction box. One of the Romex wires in the box is the source, just like the outdoor faucet. This wire is the one bringing the power to the box. Each switch is like one of the spigots that lets the water flow out to the hose, or in this case, the wire. The other three wires in the box are like the hoses that go out from the spigot to the device (Light, fan, outlet, etc). All you need to do is determine which is the incoming wire that brings the power. You will connect this to one switch, and then just loop to the next from the first. Or you could do a three-way pigtail in which you twist three black wires onto the income black (hot) wire and then connect one of the three pigtails, each to one of the three switches. As far as the box is concerned, you will need a triple-gang old work box like this one: AD amzn.to/4dNG5xT
I have a 97 Coachman RV, but your video covered my exact problem. The blower is working perfectly again. Thank you for saving me so much time and money!
1. Those original switches SUCK!!! 2. I love the new Leviton with the Click Locks! 3. I personally like the White rather than Ivory. 4. Slightly "Prettier" is if the screw slots are vertical on the Cover Plates... momma likes prettier... 5. Those wings metal wings on the original box are a bear to flatten. 6. Make sure power is off...!
would there be any reason someone would remove this battery from an rv? or convert it??i recently purchased an rv and i didn’t do much research prior, but the previous owner told and showed me the battery powering the water tank and interior lights and that’s it. i wasn’t aware there was another battery, i thought the only way the rv could get power otherwise was if it was plugged in. if plugged in, is this battery what’s getting powered?
RVs are pretty amazing in that they are a dual power system. In some cases triple. They can be powered via AC power by plugging them in. But when they are not plugged in some of the systems are DC powered by the house battery. When the RV is plugged in, it charges the house battery. The third source is the propane tank, which powers the stove, water heater, and in some cases the refrigerator.
i have the same minnie winnie ‘96, what battery did you use and how much was it? if this exterior battery is replaced? would that power the electricity?
i couldn’t get my propane tank working unfortunately, so i am looking to replace the battery and convert to solar power, if i can before the winter, if not, finding a place to plug into AC would be best
The DC system only power certain low power consumption parts of the RV, such as the DC lights and water pump. It does not power high draw systems, such as the water heater or the room heater. Those are powered by propane and AC. You will need these both to be working before winter. As far as converting to solar, this can be done with the addition of a solar panel to maintain the charge of the house battery. However, if you are wanting to use solar for heat in the winter, this will be very complex and very expensive to accomplish. It is best to rely on propane for heat.
ok, so you’re saying there’s a dc battery system on the inside of the rv that powers the water tank and rv lights, and then there’s an ac battery system on the outside that powers the electrical outlets? my rv does have a propane tank, however, it’s not working and neither is the ac battery system or generator which is why i want to fully convert to solar, so all of my electric needs from heating to the water tank and sustainably powered. is that a conversion that can be done?
Devices like Spot and InReach could be handy as a tool to communicate and/or reassure family and friends. I would argue it's way too unreliable to be used as a rescue beacon. The USDA tested Spot extensively for use with fire crews and found that it worked relatively well in clear skies and flat terrain, but was very unreliable under tree cover, in poor weather conditions, in mountains, etc. That's because Spot is a very low power device - 0.2 to 0.4 watts of transmit power, depending on model. It's not enough power to punch through poor conditions and obstructed views of the sky. If you truly need rescue, your best bet is still a personal locator beacon. PLBs transmit with 5.0 watts power and they access a satellite network that is better suited to receive and forward distress calls quickly. Another advantage is that PLB service is funded by your tax dollars, so there is no monthly fee.
PLB only works in the US. Spot works around the world. While Spot connection speeds are slow, I manage spot devices for several people who travel the global. From Africa to the Arctic to the Amazon. They have always been able to send out alerts.
@@thejungleexplorer Completely and totally wrong. PLBs work worldwide...100% of the earth's surface, including the poles. It's a global system, not an American system. The first nation to send up a satellite to receive PLB signals was the Soviet Union. Ironically, if you look up the Spot coverage area you'll find that Spot is the system that doesn't have coverage at very high latitudes.
Hello sir thank you for the info I will try your way. It so happens to be the exact carburetor like mine, but my question to you or any one on the comments is what is the the top hose connected to the carburetor for ? I now the bottom hose every time I purge it shoots out gas but the top one doesn’t? Any idea what is its function? Please anyone have an idea ?

Hi. This video is several years old and there have been some changes made to the firmware of the newer models that I am unfamiliar with. I am not sure how to work with the newer models. Sorry.
This was a very helpful video! While there was some extra things in mine to do (like cutting and then splicing the hardwired heading coil) this was pretty much the same as mine. One thing I will say is make sure to strip everything down and give it a good clean to get rid of all the gunk before reassembling, brings you almost back to the new washer state.
Seems like if the fence was longer and using high tension wire, this would pull the post right out of the ground as the assembly would turn like a wheel around the base of the leaning post. I literally use the same technique to pull posts out of the ground by hand. Seems to do a decent job bracing in a low tension situation though, so probably excellent in this application.
I bought the NAA .22 Mag. With 1 1/8th in barrel. I carry this as a walking the dog carry. Church carry or As a back up when going to more crowded places. Have not shot it yet. But think I could handle it at 3-5 yards as a get off me gun.
This is what this gun is intended for. It is perfect for this type of carry. Have you watched my video about the custom wallet holster invented? You might find it interesting.
