Georgia Koumentakou was born in February 2012 in Brussels where she lives with her parents and two younger sisters. She started playing violin when she was three and half years old, and from September 2017 she is studying in Erik Sluys' class of talents .
Growing in a multilingual environment, her mother being Polish and father Greek, Georgia speaks Polish, Greek, French and English. She has performed for a variety of audiences, such as in the Anderlecht Academy, at the Vlaamse Club voor kunst, wetenschap en letteren in Brussels, and participated in the violin Masterclass at Kunsthumaniora and continues to perform regularly in Belgium.
Even though there is a lot of music in her daily life, Georgia always finds time for her other great passion, which is reading history books. Recently, she fell in love with the stories from Greek mythology, which she then stages in homemade theatrical spectacles together with her sisters.
Wow, such maturity! A born artist that persues perfection through lots of hard work! I wish my 6 year old sees that video and gets inspired to play beautifully! Greetings from Athens, Greece.
Bravo!!!!! Your intonation and phrasing are superlative. You will achieve great success. God has been very generous in the talent He has bestowed upon you. You are already an impressive artist. Best wishes!!!
That was spectacular. Well done, and cannot wait to hear more from you. There exists a video of Heifetz teaching this piece in a masterclass. You might be interested in watching it. Heifetz himself would approve of your performance.
