I like zoo's list, good to see a zoo pile *not* trading in half its pile for boros energy. It seems like a lot of zoo players fell into a pipeline where Ajani/Ocelot were naturally synergistic w Wild Nacatl/Nishoba Brawlers, (also Phlage exists) and after making such big changes, just finished transitioning to energy. But I still stand by running Wrenn and Six, no matter how far out of favour it falls, if only for it's plus ability: guaranteed land drops by recycling a fetch is clutch for growing your mana to midrange levels w/o needing to run midrange numbers of lands + card advantage is so slim in zoo, any small chance of eliminating a dead draw is precious.
Yeah I love the Soultrader deck, but it's missing something. Though there's something to be said for having an "I win" button. I wonder if Zoo ultimately settles on bowmasters or on Ajani?
Good catch! I try to point out everything I can on commentary, but even I still miss stuff (managed to catch a sowing mycospawn miss and a rumble miss). I'll be happy to see the one ring go just to make editing and weird rule stuff be less of an issue lol.

@@MTGScoundrelsI don't believe any reasonable number of bannings would knock it out. People still played rakdos scam after fury ban, and energy is an even goodstuffier pile. Guide of souls might lead to some loss of cohesion as an *energy* list, but ajani/ocelot synergies would still keep lists almost exactly þe same. Ban cats and we'll still probably see guide of souls + cascaders / double bodied cards.
That's not a bad idea! Some people prefer to jump around the mid match commentary stuff though. Who knows? Maybe I'll try a video without it and see what happens.
Flood moon is such an underated powerhouse. Also, mad props to frogtide using normal modern frame basic lands so his whole back row is tidy and uniform; magic's always more fun to watch when it's pretty!

Even if I've only got one pitch elemental left, we stay loyal to orzhov blink brew! Might also try investing in a non-eldrazi colorless or white Tron prison pile, since apparently Karn nor Ring are going anywhere
@@MTGScoundrels never give up on brewing! Even if a list isn't as powerful as a tiered deck, being þe one who cobbled it up gives a level of mastery which imparts a functional power compared to a "good" list a player needs to learn. Edit: also, what's your engine? 👀
Jank decks tend to come out more as the meta evolves or as a few of us get bored. For instance; the insidious roots decks on the channel, meme affinity, stuff like that.

nice matchup! im more impressed by the budget of the jeskai player than anything else, I proxy all my modern decks so using all those fancy printings would feel unreal to me lol
I like this channel, I like Modern but I don't like MH3. Cards are 2 good 2 expensive and cards that are 1 or 2 years old are almost all dropping in value. Not cool...
I get it. Modern is no longer the pet deck format of old. Decks become obsolete in two years time. It's a lot. When I started playing this format I had a pet deck called Goats that was essentially mono white devotion blinking and flickering Springjack Shepherd to make a ton of goats. Honestly ever sense Eldraine and MH1 came out it hasn't seen the light of day. The deck wasn't good, but it was my palette cleanser deck. It was fun and always reshaped my mindset about the format. Those decks don't have a chance anymore and budget decks don't really exist.
