Hey great video can you tell my why new sensors woouldnt be lighting up at all even though they are brand new along with the wires and along with a brand new computer board? Thanks
Thanks so much. A couple reasons why your new sensors may not be lighting up is because: 1. They’re bad (even if they’re new, sometimes one or both can be bad. 2. You have a pinched or cut wire somewhere. 3. They’re not wired properly into the back of the motor. 4. They could be out of alignment. Give those troubleshooting ideas a try and let me know if that helps.
What a missed opportunity to run a stiff brush down that channel after you removed the old seal. Also, an easy way to lubricate the new seal is when it is still wound up in a circle, simply drop it in a small pail of soapy water.
Great suggestions, I didn’t know about those so, thanks for sharing. I may have to make another video with those in them. Another one I also learned was to spray down the channel with lubricant as well.
Honestly I'm prolly not traveling to Florida from NY to get grease...😂 But I was wondering why lithium grease is not recommended (I'm assuming the silicone is too light weight) and what you do recommend instead? Thanks 👍
No, coming to FL from NY definitely not efficient. We can ship you some of our lubricant if you want though 😉 Lithium attracts dirt and you want as little dirt as possible in all moving parts. I recommend ours, of course, but, if you look in your nearest hardware store specifically for a garage door lubricant without lithium or silicone, you should be fine. 😃
Yeah we used a hand grinder with a diamond blade to make the straight cuts, but we had to use the hammer drill to take out the last little bit and…well…I kinda failed 😂
The kind we use is made and sold by our company - 850 Garage Doors. You can definitely order it from us over the phone if you’d like. Is that something you’re needing to get, to lubricate your garage door soon?
That sir is a semiautomatic automatic outlet. Probably came in 120v 15hz caliber which makes it illegal in California. If you remove the bump switch and replace it with the true semiautomatic outlet you may save yourself some fines. Good luck.
@@850GarageDoors very rare on new homes. Mostly repairs. We have a few big companies that take all the new homes. I tried to bid it before but got outbidded.
That’s the point! 😂 The joke itself has no punchline so it’s only funny to the person who tells it because it doesn’t make sense to the person who it is told to
@@850GarageDoors well can you tell me at least where you heard it from because I've been saying it ever since I was about six years old and nobody knew what I got it from I've been saying it ever since
