I agree, the dark green is the best but at the time when I started collecting the pieces I had enough to make it in dark red. I am hoping to get all the pieces this year.
Hi, love the work. just wondering if you would somehow know how to make the hook block a 3 sheeve? i can only assume that the boom head sheeves could be done by adding more sheeves.
I find that the more pulleys you have it starts to twist the hook when there is no load so I have kept it simple. But on the other hand if you do the mod you can do 3 sheaves and you can post some pictures.
When I got mine I decided to replace the lite grey vent pieces with the Gun metal collar to make it look a bit more realistic and give it a tint of dark silver on it and I have to say it looks really great.
There a few things I want to do as well to add that extra touch. Will probably slowly over time make a few changes but I think they did a pretty good job compared to previous cranes
@@BOBs_bricks definitely’ it’s great to be getting a giant crane out of LEGO for once that actually matches up with the same size of the minifigure’s other than the big Technique ones’ and it has more than enough play features that come with it’s
Thanks, I will be tweaking it as time goes, maybe see if i can increase the speed without affecting the pulling force to much. I am never able to leave a design alone and always look for ways to improve things
@legorailroader3481 that wheel configuration made me rebuild the whole chassis..... I thought it would be a small mod.... turns out i had to even modify the front bodies .. 🤣
Have not done one in a while as it goes with me to the shows so it is currently a mess. I am doing a video of building the mountain so I will include an overview of my city at the same time. But first it needs a clean... 🤣
