@@Buddy_fgc I was Ryu. Marisa's armor always scares me. I was waiting for you to Phalanx but you wouldn't do it lol Yeah for sure, I can always have more matches against a Marisa! I'll friend request you in the game. Good luck on your Master run!
@@woof9408 Oh snap sweet! I just got back from EVO, so I'll get you added and we can run some sets sometime to help out with the MU. Thanks for the luck yo!
I beat a Marissa earlier with akuma because I figured dude thought because Marissa had power and a defensive stance that counters, he forgot akuma had the command grab that takes it away
Oh for sure. It's easy to get over confident with Marisa if you're not careful. I normally try to play passive and let the Akumas pressure me, and once an opening Marisa can normally close out an Akuma pretty quickly.
Why do you look like the teacher that is standing next to your desk asking you "well where is YOUR honework today then?" And not believing the lie you tell them 😂
Great music, nice style (i play marisa and i love some of your combo setups like the dr overhead into command grab lol). I hope to make master too but ill see ya there soon it seems!
Thanks man! It's such a good setup and you'd be surprised how much it works against the higher levels as well. Give medium target combo into instant command grab in the corner after a crumple DI a try as well. Works too well lol
You gained a sub just off playing the dragon theme during your fight. Took me back to Vegeta shorting the final flash for the first time 😂 Cultured you are 💪🏾 6:10
Thanks for the sub my man! Honestly at the beginning of the second fight when the theme kicked in I felt like I was in a DBZ movie 😎. Now just to find a place to slip in the SSJ3 theme next!
As someone trying to learn Marisa I have two questions. When you get the mp+mp combo why do you go for gladius over dimachaerus? What are you doing out of drive rush? is it a light quadriga? Edit: I asked the gladius question before the last akuma match where you went heavy dimachaerus. Is there a reason to go for one over the other though in certain situations or is it just to mix things up?
Hey! I'm happy to answer. More often than not. If I'm going for gladius it's just to mix it up. A lot of times rather than going for dimachaerus I'll mix in a gladius here and there. This usually catches people expecting the dimachaerus, and gives me a little bit of a punish. A lot of times it also depends on how much drive meter I have that will dictate what mix-up I go for. If you have a particular timestamp in the video, I might be able to answer even more clearly. I'm actually using her stand medium kick. In the akuma patch her 2MP was nerfed a little bit. They extended her hurt box as the move is coming out so it can be a little bit more of a risky poke. Stand MK if spaced correctly out of drive rush is safe on block. So a lot of times even if blocked you'll catch people trying to take their turn back. I normally just confirm it into her medium punch target combo. Then into the meaty overhead combo or the EX dimachaerus combo for better oki.
That ken was an embarrassment to all Ken players 😂. 5 times ? I wish I could play stick. I just can’t get the inputs out as smoothly as I can on pad. Idk what the issue is
I don't know what his plan of attack was 😂 I use to think the same thing honestly. Watching people do all the inputs looked way too difficult, but after putting in a few hours on it (definitely a good amount) it started to come together for me. I still miss inputs some times tho. If you're still interested in trying it out again, there is a video called "How to efficiently play stick" or something like that by the Electric Underground that gives tips on how to hold the stick. For me at least, having the right grip on the stick was night and day performance-wise.
Thanks! Glad you liked it 😊I ended up getting the Mayflash F300 Elite. To be honest, I did pretty minimal research on it prior to getting it aside from reading maybe like 2-3 reviews. I ended up looking into it a bit more after purchasing it tho, and it seems like its a great beginner stick. It's got everything you want in a stick (great hardware, solidly built, easy access for customization/repair, etc) and nothing extra that would jack up the price for no reason. I got it for about $100 which beats most other sticks this nice price-wise. I definitely recommend getting one tho! I'm not lying when I say that playing with stick has made my enjoyment of fighting games sky rocket with how rewarding they feel to master. Let me know if you pick one up and how you like it! 😀
Just keep at it. Give it a few weeks and you'll get used to it. Do the combo trials to get familiar with motions and buttons at specific intervals and timings. Like anything else, it just takes practice and time.
Definitely going to keep at it. The stick just makes playing the game way more fun in my opinion, so I'm excited to get better at it. Appreciate the advice on the combo trials, I've been working on Cammy's for a bit, the main struggle for me has been getting the timing down for the attacks to link correctly, but all in due time 😎
I've definitely noticed that I can play for far longer on stick than when I was using pad. Without a doubt my biggest issue has been getting my motion inputs down with the stick, but with only the better of a week put in I'm pretty happy with it so far :D
