This channel is dedicated to Land Rover fans who seek the next off roading experience and adventure! Driving a 2011 Land Rover Discovery LR4, 2021 Land Rover Defender110 P300 and 2024 Land Rover Defender 130 P400. Based in the Atlanta GA area but planning on traveling all over the US!
I just purchased a Disco 5 and seeing this is awesome. I will rarely need to drive like this (it does happen and I might seek some out), but I needed something that could survive off-road and still not look shabby when I show up to court. This is awesome. Solid driving.
Hi, I know that this is an old video but I just purchased a Discovery 5 and want to add lights but I'm not sure how to run the wires into the cab from the engine bay. I'm used to my old Tacoma which was pretty straightforward. Any pointers will be appreciated. Thanks
Great video. Curious about your wheel and tire size. Any details are appreciated. Are you running a spacer of did you have to trim off any of the plastic from the wheel well? Thanks so much in advance!
Our build set up for all vehicles are on our website, so check it out. For this 110, we were on 34’ Yokohama Geolander MT, with spacers and 2” lift rods. Yes, lots of trimming… :)
You should be good doing Black Gap. There are a couple of sections that will be a bit intimidating but you should be able to do them with a good spotter.
Check our friend Steve's RU-vid channel, This Week With Cars. He also has a video out on our trip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_5krp75z9GQ.html.
Appreciate the video. Still building our 110. How many used a defender integrated air compressor and how many used an aftermarket product like ARB? Would appreciate the pros and cons if you have them.
I don’t believe anyone had the LR compressor. ARB is very quick and we have the 4 hose system to do all the tires at once. We just talked with someone today at the Land Rover owners event that was using his integrated compressor and each tire takes about 4 minutes, so definitely a time saver with our setup.
Unfortunately, no we haven’t made a walk around video. Our vehicle is not stock. Visit our website to get all the modification specs including the tires under the vehicle page for our Defender. afterthelandroverexperience.com
I wonder if it wouldn't be better or cheaper to just revamp the actually iconic Defender with all the tech and luxuries instead of hacking at the most stupid non-moding design land rover ever had. well I'm biased pro for solid axles fourbies anyways. Nice work though.
I regularly ski those hills. The camera doesn't do it justice, as some of them are 45 degrees. I wonder if there will be any land rovers still there when it opens in December?
Fyi for people watching, they are joking. August is by far the worst month to come visit Arizona. Its juat before the monsoons come in so you get 110+ temps AND humidity. *Edit: This applies to more of the mid to low desert chunks of the state, up north in the mountains and by the rim of the canyon are nice.
Bonkers! Awesome build and quality work. Love the bumpers but sadly over here in the UK and Europe we're not allowed them. Need to look at engine bay battery set up in the D250.
Thanks for that. I'm waiting for the UK distributor to get back to me on ordering one. Just curious about your second battery set up. I'm looking to add another deep cycle AGM battery under the bonnet and a Lithium in the rear.
Be very careful mixing AGM and Lithium batteries. Make sure you get a BCDC charger that has the right profile to manage the voltage rush. If you have a BBCDC charger that has a MPPT built in, just run the panel to the charger.
HI. I also recently got this panel. but on a Wrangler. do you too, the cable that goes from the solar panel to the inside of the engine is squeezed a little between the bonnet and the bodywork? I don't think there is any problem right?
I would say yes, but you’re running the risk of scrapping the bottom and may need to upgrade your tires. The rocks are sharp and I don’t think a stock tire will do.
@@afterthelandroverexperience what modifications do you have on yours… I don’t want to spend a whole lot of money modifying it. I am willing to put better rubber on it though.
