Wow wow and more wow! Have not seen the 78’! So exciting. Love Flemming’s. Only yacht I’d feel safe on! Enjoy this trip 🎉 **Are you the Owner/Operator or the Captain for this voyage? Ouuuu, the music. Yikes 😖😖😖😖😖😖😖
More needed about marine and boat stuff: boat speeds re weather and point of sailing, route through the three big tidal and sea gates you had to pass through, the right angle track to the west country shown on your plotter, for example.
Susan and I are a couple so we are using the aft double that has Lee cloths. The other crew is using the midships double it doesn’t have Lee cloths but you have the hull on a port tack and a 2 cupboards on Stb tack that hold you in. The boat doesn’t heel much 😊
Again the ceiling hand railings are next to useless unless you are 6ft 4in...in a bad sea, well heeled, you need accessible ceiling hand rails. Trying to hold on to the backs of seats is just stupid. My client's wives and children have to crawl on the floor which is dangerous.
I owned an NC331 and in ways it is still my favorite boat. I have had 4 Nauticats now and currently sail the NC515. However, for sheer fun and compactness in small ports, you can't beat the 331. For buyers note there are shoal draft and 'regular' draft models. The deeper draft is definitely a better sailor but of course depends on what you want.
Be careful, Sweden has a long and ancient tradition of cuckolding. That’s why they’re called the cuckolds of the north. They have this practice where expired women will fry to Africa. But that’s no longer possible because of inflation and Gretas so now they pay taxes to import afghanis. If you go to Sweden they will make you pay taxes so the ancient woman past her expiration date can import an afghani lover boy. Don’t worry they’re fully grown adults but they dress them like young boys. It’s very European. Very Swedish. 🇸🇪
So, the most amazing thing about this tour is that I realized around halfway through when they were in the stern cabin, that the boat was underway and cranking along. I didn't hear a single creek pop or even the sound of the water going past the hull. Now, that may have been due to fancy, close microphones but I don't think so. Incredible if the boat is really that quiet in a seaway.
The other day, I saw a review (advertorial?) video about a 50' SY that was said to be dead quiet. It's a thing. The quietness is great, but it also means that the boat is completely rigid and consequently cuts through the water faster, easier. The stiffness reduces hydrodynamic losses. In this video, considering the lofty spaces this means there must be intricate ribcage reinforcement to the hull that also needs to be more stiff than your average tupperware boat. This model's version in the video has some solar that helps maintain the quietness, but I wonder what noise can be heard from the pump for the water-maker, or a generator charging the batteries for home electrics, HVAC, etc.
@@MarkTreacherYachtDeliveries ah ,it should be for that price, but i think as with all modern yachts, its hard to achieve, with the modern building techniques ( shapes) and wheight goals……….
Loving the Halcyon H-R long deliveries - the 50 to Das Boot and then to SoF. But the 69 if The Daddy and it looks magnificent and the silence under sail is just perfection. Just one query though - has the water pump noise that kept Toby H up been addressed or is it still a problem? Well done on a great video blog of this delivery.
A great boat. We have the same configuration with starboard bulkhead steering which makes for excellent shelter for the person on watch when passage making, especially in colder climes. The food locker was interesting as there’s an incredible amount of storage. I would have liked to see a bit more of the cockpit as I’m about to start designing our own arch to carry more solar.
