Wish I'd seen this earlier so I could have donated. My copy arrived in the post yesterday and I LOVE IT! I hope it'll be published as a (slightly) cheaper soft-cover so I can replace all our older Haggadot to use this year (or next year... in Jerusalem?) PS I work at a Jewish dayschool and have shown it to a few co-workers all of whom are quite impressed too.
Jen, thank you for the positive comments, much appreciated! Author Gorf is embarking on an author tour, presenting on the Haggadah at cities around N. America, from coast to coast, and bringing the Jewish Cartoon Workshop to schools ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CEjgKoBzQwA.html Be in touch with any questions or requests at gorf@jewishcartoon.com. It seems strange to have a fan film panel with the only person to be sued for trying to make a fan film: Alec Peters. In case you don't know he is currently being sued by CBS and Paramount for copyright infringement with a trial date (unless there's a settlement before then) of January 31, 2017. Jonathan (Slow) Lane runs a blog previously hosted on the Axanar servers and is a known supporter and shill of Axanar. Cryssssstal is Alec's current girlfriend and has only managed to produce a trailer for her project. I'm shocked that they couldn't get a better group of people to discuss fan films.
Hey all, thanks for viewing and for commenting. As the moderator, I found the panelists to be accomplished and informed (and infamous!) and representative of fan productions and their followings, particularly insofar as a 1 hour panel's size and duration can allow. If there are questions you'd like to ask or additional producers/productions you'd like to recommend, we're all (Spock) ears and look forward to your input. FYI Crysstal said in the panel that her Supergirl short is produced and doing the film festival circuit, and she looks forward to uploading it online afterwards. Cheers!
Actually, Jonathan's blog was never hosted by Axanar. he writes a column for Axanar called Fan Film Friday, which is all about other Star Trek fan films. his blog was an evolution of his interest. And why you call him a shill, because you clearly have an agenda, Jonathan is the only one writing about the lawsuit who actually consults with lawyers and provides fair commentary. Crysstal also has a better IMDB than anyone on your side of the argument.
Alec Peters First of all, Jonny DID start his blog as a guest blogger on your Axanar site, and later it was hosted on a domain owned by your PR director. I call him a shill because HE clearly has an agenda promoting only your side of the story. He does not provide balanced commentary at all. Axamonitor provides facts about the case (all assertions are cited to the original source) and Janet (an actual lawyer) does a great analysis on the Sunday G&T blog. Nice of you to defend your girlfriend but it doesn't matter what my (or anyone else's) IMDB credentials are. I was trying to point out that there were better people available to have as guests on a panel about fan films. People who have actually produced more content than a trailer or fallen afoul of the copyright owners for example.
Actually they are currently being sued, the discovery phase has just concluded, and unless they settle in the next few weeks it will go to trial in January. It'll be nice to see their "fair use" defence put to the test. I wasn't making fun of her name btw, I just couldn't be bothered counting how many extra "s" she used.

Israel, wonderful land, She makes my soul so happy and dance with much JOY just at the thought of Her...add me in as "one" more standing WITH You, my beloved Israel!! :o)
