I am 76 years old and have been having fun fishing since I was 5 years old. I am also called to be a "fisher of men". Jesus told His disciples " I will make you fishers of men!" Yes, I got your question , but was out of town for awhile. My answer is clearly this...once you have committed your life to Christ as your Lord and Savior, and continue to grow in your relationship with God; as Paul says to "work out your own salvation" you are saved and will continue to be saved "once and for all time". However, if a person only makes a voice ascent and does nothing more; even going to church regularly and nothing more than that: I will think this person could be possibly unsaved. Look at the words Jesus shared in Matthew 7.13-14 and then verses 21-23.Consider also Jesus words concerning people who just do whatever they think will please others (indulgent people) found in Luke 14.25-35. Today we have many in churches who fit here. Salvation "experience' has become cheapened and it is "useless'. The question always comes up for all people who are truly saved; "what happens if I do commit sin(s)?" They will know it, they will acknowledge it, they will ask for forgiveness, and repent. This is clearly written and explained by John in 1 John 1.5-10. This is is how I see and understand being saved and preparing for the return of Jesus. Our hope is here in what Paul wrote to the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 15.51-58. Your life of salvation in Jesus Christ is to "steadfast, immovable, ALWAYS abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord." Jesus will keep ALL who are His and whose names are written in the Lambs Book of Life. I hope this makes clear my position based on the words of the Bible and not man. I know there is more I could share, but I believe this is a strong foundation. Finally, consider Jesus sharing the parable of the "Prodigal Son"; our Father in Heaven is waiting for us to come to our senses and return to Him; and the only way we can do this is through Jesus.(John 14.6) God bless you and is you have other questions please write to me at da.fraser@email.com

You are truly wrong. I have studied the history of Israel for many years. I visited Israel for a week in Dec with 74 other Christians from 10 nations, and we are all very informed of the history of Israel and the truths of the problems with the Palestinians. They will have no peace in their life until they remove the hatred they have for Jews, Israel, and Christians. When they turn to the God of Israel and His Son Jesus they can gain peace one by one. May it be so, in Jesus name.

Great question. The simple answer is a gifting of God to the individual. King David was chosen by God to become the new king over Israel and Judah. The ceremony included placing oil on him from the prophet Samuel. Added, an anointing is the gifting you may receive to accomplish the plans of God which give Him glory. It can be associated with the abilities God has placed in you which are enhanced by God's favor and the Holy Spirit activated in your life. Just as well have receiving an "anointing" it can also be removed if a person is outside of what God wants them to do, so that His will is done. Hope this will help you. Exactly our full rest is completed in Jesus. He is the way the truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Fater but through Him. We can get an understanding of the rest we will have with our Great Shepherd as we see the expression of this given to David in Psalm 23. PTL God Bless you.
