Looks oike you can get one of these with 50k miles on it for around 45k US right now. That depreciation is crazy. Also if i do buy one of these ill be getting it for 15percent less for sure gotta account for that depreciation.
I just bought this today. I'm pleased. One thing you missed is the USB in the arm rest is actually a USB-C for newer connection types. The one in the front by the cup holders is the standard USB port.
@@gregs8685 it’s not ugly , the styling is ugly. All the new cars “ look good” even Camrys look nice. But it’s ugly to me.too boxy ,too edgy , too many straight lines. Audi too closely resembles the modern styling that it’s not set apart anymore. Audi was very unique to me in terms of design pre-2010. Maybe it’s not that Audi copied them but maybe everybody copied Audi. Also this a8 looks so similar to a6 of similar year, another reason Im not too fond of the d4. Maybe it will grow on me, well see
Great review. It's sad that Audi restricted the exhaust note of the 8 series. The RS6 and RS7 have a nice bark when blipped. The S8 sadly is so restricted even with Sport Exhaust. Best seats imo as well. The sport bucket seats are nice to look at but not comfortable to drive in where as the S8's seats are plush, cooled, and massaged along with their diamond stitched pattern. Great review. Looking forward to more videos.

Also, I agree the exhaust is pretty restricted - but tbh it fits the nature of the S8, at the end of the day is a full size luxury sedan. If I wanted something louder the S7 and S6 (when they were still V8s :/) would've been the next logical option as a customer
Lol yah it does sound very constricted, I would have to guess because its still an executive luxury sedan so they made the exhaust more quite and as a result it sounds like someone is snoring😂. Though I gotta say, it sounds much better in person
For those who are desperate to know! The MPE makes the exhaust louder but won't make you go faster. The MPPK will make you go faster but no make your exhaust louder.
Exactly! The MPE in the X5 *alters* the muffler, which in turn gives it a rich and growly sound, which is not the same as a full muffler delete. The MPPK (as seen in the description) adds 20 HP and 32 lb-ft torque, which is essentially a small tune from factory, which is nice because X5s with the MPPK will be faster than most X5s it encounters. How is the sound in Sport or Sport+ compared to Comfort? I just got my X5, and am considering these upgrades. My desire is that Comfort isn't too different than stock, but that when you switch to sport you get the nice sound and burps. I'd like to be able to go back to stock or close to stock sound when I want. And I definitely don't want any drone!
*(From the Owner)* In Comfort Mode, you will get a pretty loud cold start sound (not as loud as Sport/Sport+). After that Comfort mode is definitely pretty quiet from the cockpit unless you are really pushing hard. You do hear the occasional pop and crackle from the driver’s seat but the passengers in the backseats hear them more clearly. In Sport/Sport+ Mode, the startup is definitely LOUD and louder than Comfort Mode, once the car warms up you will hear many more crackles/pops even when driving normally on the road. However when you push the car, the experience is just amazing. It sounds like a beast and amazing pops on the downshift. Having said that, surprisingly the crackle and pops are still not as loud from inside the car as I would have thought, like you do hear them but the interior doesn’t get super noisy. However the sounds of the car from the outside are just insane. You can clearly hear the exhausts in sports mode even when you are casually just driving down the street. My friends in their own car have told me they can clearly hear the exhausts when I pass them casually. Hope this helps!
The active grill opens & closes based on engine temperature only. Period. It is aerodynamically-designed in that it's more aerodynamic when closed, and it remains closed until additional cooling is necessary. However, at a particular engine temperature, it opens.
@@carreviewscanada1561 Getting my X5 in January, almost the exact same configuration colour and trim, just different rims. White is king for this model IMO. Question, did you get the integral active steering option (4 wheel steering)? If you didn’t how do you find the steering and handling getting into tight spots? I’m coming from a Q7 that had it and the turning radius is awesome, just wondering if the X5 is just a agile without it.
@@Harvey017 Congrats on the X5! Im guessing yours have the Y spoke 21s? Also, this car is not equipped with the Integral Active Steering. This is also not my car, so I dont know specifically. Though IMO, I think its a great option to have especially if you know you will encounter tough turning radius scenarios. But I would suggest checking out forums online and see what other owners think. From what I have heard, its a great option to have, but not an absolute necessary one (I would get it if I were ordering one).
@@carreviewscanada1561 Thanks for the quick response and yes that’s right my model is equipped with the 21” Y spokes. I didn’t equip my X5 with IAS for one issue I’m currently experiencing on my Audi. Although awesome for a shorter turning radius 4 years and about 80,000 kms later I find there’s a distinctive vibration or shaking while driving. I thought it’s was possibly due to my performance summer tires wearing down but it’s still there after changing to my winters. Wasn’t there at all in the beginning but it’s pretty distinctive now and it’s been a known issue in forums. Was curious if you had that option and possibly dealing with the same issue. Either way loved the review, got really into seeing the X5 from a POV you don’t normally see in other reviews.
Yup! As mentioned in the video the compact SUV for BMW (X3) competes with Audi Q5. Though, as Audi only has 1 SUV with 7seats, the Audi Q7 is officially considered a competitor for the Merc GLS and BMW X7 - even if some aspects of the Q7 doesnt make it look like their competitor!
