such a simple chill concept that was unfortunately driven out of the market do the shift towards more story driven gameplay. i do still miss the days when less was more and you could simply slow down and take in vibe and that was exactly that kind of game.
Retro Game Challenge 2 has an English Patch. Saga 2 and Saga 3 have English Patches as well. Saga on Wonder Swan Color should be played first in English though because that has a Patch as well. If you like Gameboy Final Fantasy Series you will be pleased to know Saga is the same game but in Color.
I forgot how absolutely terrible this game was. Don't get me wrong, I played it dozens of times as a kid, but the "you can move around by moving the control stick" gave me 'Nam-level flashbacks
Could never beat this, played it over and over only to get to a certain point to rage quit. Like a week goes by and walk in to find my little brother and his friend watching their game winning end credits...I was done with it for sure. Then he reset it, and beat it to the last boss fight but was to tired of it. Sweet f'n game to watch again.
There's something really strange going on with the bluish-gray cat enemies. Whenever they attack the player or stand in place, they look like Tom, but whenever they walk around the map, they look like Butch. Definitely seems like a sprite design error that was somehow overlooked by the developers.
I'm curious to know what that pink mist coming out of the Foggers' mouths is. Also, having an entire level centering around climbing up Hasselhoff's leg and back is kind of hilarious. Not to mention during the second fight with Dennis his boot spikes go into Hasselhoff's ass looks painful.
well.. ..i guess i've got my answer on _that_ one: the Haunted Castle **looks** nice, but i can tell just from watching the first 6 minutes, HC doesn't _feel_ nice - it's lacking much Soul so, the VFX & Graphics department(s) killed it - and, their work got killed, by some other people who didn't know how to properly handle the gifts they were given

I would say, the game is still pretty ahead of it's time! Graphics are pretty rock solid for 1999 and the environment effects. Wouldn't expect a sword bouncing off a wall in this era.
