awesome sounds man ! I have a quick question, when you record it with your camera, how do you upload it later with the sounds of the jam recorded in perfect synchronisation ? Do you simply try to match what you see on the vid to what is heard in ableton ?
Hi Yes, am on a mac, i go to audio/MIDI setup on MacOs, and create an aggregate sound card with all the boutiques and any other audio interfaces i got. Now Ableton Live or any DAW you use, will see it as one sound card with all the I/O. All you got to do is setup it up on your channels. If you using Ableton use the external instrument for audio/midi I/O per channel. I also like to record the set live inside Ableton Live either via Resampling channel or just create the same amount of Audio channels and get audio routed to them (i prefer this). Let me know if you need more details.
oh yeaa i use the same external instrument and route every channel... can you make a tutorial of how to connect the usb hub to ableton... i am sure there are a lot of people with the same setup... and could use this kind of info... thanks for your quick reply... does it send stereo though???
Hi, Yes you are right, i should do one, also, yes it does send stereo, if am not mistaken there is a way to make some outputs as mono on some of the boutiques, or was it in Ableton, not sure, i am going to get back to it, in the next few days, i admit 2017 kept me so buzy unmusically. Do you do any performances? What gear you got?
oh yea so ableton lets you do mono or stereo so thats cool... also added soundcard to the aggregater but for some reason my 303 just doesnot show up when i plug in with the usb.. any idea why .. do i need to update firmware or something.. also the whole thing starts to crackle sometimes n then it comes back to life again... i use a tp link powered usb... and i found a lot of videos on the aggregater....
I have a tb 03, JX 03 and a JP 08... I haven't recorded anything and put it out there.. but thinking of doing some... I have another issue when I change de presets in jx-03 it also changes the JP-08.. and all my midi channels are only working on number 1... may this is the coz of it.. but this problem comes sometimes and goes away... any idea ????
Awesome jam bro! I'm using a tb03 and a tr09 alongside a ms20 mini via trigger out of the tr09 but could do with some tips on the Tb03 if you could fire a few pointers. I noticed you used the timing button alongside the reverb effect which I dig
Awesome jam. And a lovely setup, I am also a big fan of the boutiques :-) you have a new subscriber. And please feel free to have a look at my channel with a lot of hardware-sessions, too. And i am always happy about new subscribers ;-)
I think they all are limited editions, but am sure there are out there, or making more, i feel these boutiques are pretty good, and superior since they are digital.... and for that price point is really great. Still waiting to get the Tr08, out of stock.... If you are in the US or EU you got options, i get most of my stuff from sweetwater and TTL.
I still can't figure out how to get the Boutiques to send audio over USB to m PC in Ableton. I currently have them hooked up by USB and audio cord to my interface.
i really could use some instruction. I got the tb03&tr09 - fantasizing on the jx integration, but i don't even understand what i have - the instructions arnt making any sense
The manuals are terrible i know. tell me how you like to integrate it all? with or with out a DAW, are you on mac or pc, etc... best to email me. Thanks
hey there, amazing video! I have a question for you though. I was wondering how you got synced the audio from all of the instruments through ableton? it seems it only lets me input one audio source at a time (i.e i can only hear 1 of my 3 instruments at a time. tr09/jp08/tb03. please any help would be appreciated!
Hi Andrew, am on a mac, i use the audio midi setup native app and create an aggregate sound interface with all the boutique and any other audio stuff available. If you are on windows, i was told ASIO may do the same. Let me know if you need further details.
thanks! Im on a Mac as well. I think the aggregate part was the part i needed! now i just gotta figure out/tinker with them in ableton to get them synced and what not. Thanks for the quick reply!
the JP08 is a killer. the only downside are the faders, really small, but recent update i think across the boutique u can send cc to control it externally, which can be good, but id rather suffer with these faders. no arp or split key (which i don't really mind - got the arp on ableton doing its thing).
What might be cool too is if you mic yourself and talk about in real time what you're doing while you're recording in a separate video, maybe with screenshots or closeups overlayed?
