We're Shafeen and Waseem, a married couple from California, originally from the Fiji Islands, who decided to break free from the chains of hustle culture and explore alternatives. Tired of the 9-5 grind, we traded our corporate jobs for a life of travel, adventure, and intentional living. Feeling unfulfilled and disconnected from our fast-paced lives, we quit our jobs for adventure and a better quality of life. Leaving our comfortable lives was tough. After years of research and planning, our longing for a simpler, more intentional life won. We packed our bags, said our goodbyes, and began our journey with open hearts. We've traveled widely, making memories, embracing slow travel, living in the moment, and finding joy in meaningful connections with people from all walks of life. We inspire you to break free from hustle culture and live authentically. On our RU-vid channel, we share our experiences, lessons, and practical tips to guide you on your path to a fulfilling life of freedom.
The penang road laksa is indeed really good, however I prefer Kim Laksa in Balik Pulau on the penang island as it's way more savoury there. There is also an extremely beautiful church in the same town that you can't miss the interior.
that cendol vendor.. really need to find a better way to served his product.. each of his ingredients can be put in a special dispenser.. where he only need to turn on the tap.. too messy using the ladles.. it just seems slightly unhygienic.. by the way.. you need to mix the ingredients together really well before you eat..
The portion was so huge we couldn’t mix the cendol properly but man did we enjoy it. It was so good! We were just grateful that we got a chance to enjoy this Malaysian dessert. Delicious 😋💛

Balik pulau will be the less touristy and more local side of penang island. Kim laksa there has one of the best assam laksa in Malaysia and the church there is really beuatiful. The side door would be open during off mass time hours, so do check the side doors to enter. The stained glass inside is extremely gorgeous
these videos are amazing! your iteniaries and food choices are really good imo and your personalities are so fun to watch! hope you keep making videos, im obsessed!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Virtual hug coming through. It means a lot to us. It would mean the world to us if you’re able to share our videos. 🙏🤗💛
do visit balik pulau church and the most important church in Malaysia, St Anne Basilica in Bukit Mertajam. Both are in Penang. Do see Assumption church in georgetown as well (2nd oldest church in Malaysia)
When u say Pinang alone ...it is not quite right....because Pinang in Malay is betel nut....the right word is Pulau Pinang....which means betel island...but the english just called it Penang....so when you say it in English...it is just Penang....but when you say it in Malay...it has to be Pulau Pinang....Pulau means island
Thanks so much for watching Anna! We appreciate you.🙏 Also, that Coimbatore Samosa has us drooling. Yummy. The garam masala and green chilis combo would be so 😋🤤

Many are good.. but many are also bad.. beautiful old things are being destroyed but new ones are created.. enjoy 😊
