Originally formed in 2014 to compete in the local 48 Hour Film Project competition, Gaff Tape and a Prayer has since gone on to win three city-wide Best Film awards in that competition, in addition to other local and national recognitions.
I loved how everything was brought together, and there's a fascinating video that goes into the idea of how roleplaying can really aid in facing real world issues because it's seen as a safe space to do so
My 48 hour film was in the same group as this film. When I saw this film, my first, middle and last thought were "this is easily the best film today". There were several great films, but this one is so unbelievably good. The fact that you did this in 2 days and not 2 months is amazing! Nice job!
Always remember we must repent of our sins (sin is transgression The Law Of Yahuah The Father in Heaven. The Law are The Books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy). We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On Yahusha The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins! Come to HIM🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Since I'm an artist, I was able to read through and understand the deep meaning behind this short video just by analyzing the mannerisms and moods of the characters. You don't always need a dialogue to understand such a meaningful message. Great video!
The did a great job in getting the message across without the use of words and how The song started to gain tempo and complexity as they got more confident in their ability
Silence a powerful. It's so much you can take from a film that has no words. In this film, the characters were powerful people that work and make things happen. I also saw the frustration and how they had to just take a deep breath and just flow into what they do. Love the film, we should have more like this.
The idea to use black and white to exaggerate the tone of the film was great. I got a serious, hard-time, but also humorous tone from the film. The music more so adds to the hard-time aspect because everyone is going through something but you keep going.
The general silence spoke volumes. The black and white supported by the music gave the needed contrast to give us the understanding we needed from the film.
Even though there wasn't any sound besides the music, in this film, it still said a lot. It basically showed how the power of women in undeniable, and if we keeping pushing nothing can stop us.
The silence brings back those old school. vibes of being able to portray emotion through the body. It really shows how important body language is and I love the choice of music that is use. Makes the scenes even more interesting.
This was a very powerful message even with the absence of the actual words because it makes you look at what's actually going on. It shows the strength of women and how hard they work to chase their dreams and do things that people say that they can't do. Very powerful!
The silence in the film spoke volume, which made it have a deeper meaning along with the black and white picture.. the actions of the characters allowed them to speak without using words. The facial expressions and hand gestures allowed each character to get their point across without talking.
I was a little confused at first, being that there isn't any dialogue or talking throughout this video, but the actions of the characters allowed them to speaking without having to use actually words. The actions, facial expressions, hand gestures, etc., allowed for each character to get their point across without having to verbally do so.
I really liked how the message of the film (it seems to be a message of support and encouragement) was clearly conveyed through the pathos portrayed through the actors. The instrumental was also a nice element to the film
I love the unspoken aspect of this. The lack of dialogue helps convey the feelings of the people in the video along with the music. The music starts as being moreso erratic and aimless and then picks up speed and begins to sound more purposeful.
This was great I am a huge fan of abstract art and allowing the audience to decide their own message and take aways of it. This was great I was a little lost in the beginning however, as the skit continued I began understanding the message ! Great job to everyone involved in this project as well as the other series !
This was really interesting. Since there were no words being spoken, the music was the source of the emotion. You can hear the music build as each woman does her task making it a great film for any lover of music. Overall, I enjoyed this film
At first I was skeptical about this because there was no dialogue, but after giving it a chance I felt the emotions of the actors. The music also allowed the audience to feel and understand the emotions of the characters. When they were happy, you can see the joys across their face.
I really liked that it was a silent film because I had never seen one before. It really shows how much louder actions speak than words. I liked how it was simple with the black and white/no words and kind of leaves interpretation up to the audience.
I like how the film was in black and white. This film shows how hard women work twice as hard as men and sometimes still don't get the credit they deserve. While I was watching this it reminded me of the "We Can Do It!" poster.
