The shark was very well alive and not unconscious... I am good friends with the kid who did this and he told me about it all... I'm not releasing his name because he wants to remain unanimous!
Manny Vetti I went to the inlet 2 days befor this vid was posted and that head was there. And the kid who caught it would have kept jaws of it if it died.
I went down to the Jupiter inlet two days after this video was posted and there was a black tip shark head on the beach laying next to the Jetty that this was filmed at. I've never seen a random shark head laying on the beach, coincidence?
Manny...two other blacktip sharks were caught at night by someone else the same week and they ate them. This guy release his. I saw him. :) I also have a 5 min video of him releasing the fully alive shark after removing the hook. The shark was very much alive.
@ Hefto Kalimeri: "Shark mean no life threatening harm to a full grew male." Well, to a point. But if your ass has been dragged around a rock pile and some Dude gets in the water next to you. You just might get a little pissed off. Especially, with a hook in your mouth. I'm glad the Dude did not get bit. But, this is a pretty dumb-ass move and the Shark could've been leadered back to the beach. Once bitten twice shy.
It was a blacktip shark and he threw it back after unhooking it from the beach. I saw him put the large ladyfish on and freeline it for 15 min until the shark ate it. I had never seen anything like it. He fought it between 5-10 min before jumping in the water and getting it.
This guy is a mad , but in my subject opinion he over crossed a fear and it is just a matter of speculation, if he s lucky of clever, he got it in the end. Lucky for him , but no real deal as the shark mean no life threatening harm to a full grew male. Thumbs up for the brave guy as he admired that he over crossed a man threading animal.
