2 Miles 🇪🇹 Meseret Defar: 8:58.58 (Women's World Record) 🇺🇸 Gavin Sherry: 8:53.25 (Boy's 15 Years Old Age Group World Record) No Biological Difference between Men and Women though right? 🤔
Everyone in the comments who is confused as to how Noah Lyles can break the indoor 300m world record while having a guy so close to him, I can explain. Noah broke the world record by the smallest margin possible, 1 hundredth of a second. The man who's world record he broke is the SAME man who is close to him in the race, Paul Dedewo. It was HIS record Noah Lyles broke in this video. Even though the announcer mentions Wallace Spearman, ignore that comment as he must not have known Dedewo was the at the time world record holder. I'll do you one more solid to clear up any confusions about this world record. Wayde Van Niekerk holds the OUTDOOR world record in the 300 meters, there's a difference between indoor and outdoor. In fact, scroll up from this comment and look at the track for a quick second once you see the period for this sentence. Notice how there were highs and lows on that track? The track itself in indoor competitions isn't even and flat like outdoor competitions, that's another reason for outdoor records producing slightly faster times along the same distances. Finally, though not set too long ago, this world record Noah set no longer stands, as Steven Gardiner of the Bahamas has shattered it. I probably answered not only all the questions you had but others you didn't know you had either lol. Hit this comment with a thumbs up kindly so others can see it and gain understanding.
Just watched it it’s like he said wanting that moment to be the greatest that was what it was all about. The face at the end when he looks to the side as finishing then continuing to run he got what he wanted AT ALL COST.
Just wish ALL of the Sprinters back then had the Nads like Tim does today and admit they were juiced to the max. He admits he was absolutely, but also says every competitive sprinter WAS. In fact, in 88' ...when Ben took the fall for everybody, there wasn't a clean runner in that final.
It would be nicer if he admitted it at this post race interview lol. He and Marion looked guilty as hell in that interview. They knew they didn't deserve those wins.
That Jordan Lewis guy is an animal. Chased everyone down on the backstretch. Nerves of steel not even going for the lean. He was probably a distance runner growing up too with a kick like that.
