Mine did this and it's eventually why I threw it away. It was a widespread issue. I'm almost positive it has nothing to do with smoke residue on the laser. I would also take mine apart and it would work for a while, then start having issues again.
Jesus Christ, that was incredibly painful. Ended up stripping the screw holding the WLAN card and thought it was over. Luckily, it's still possible to open the Alienware wide enough to replace the battery. However, after managing that, my hard drive disk couldn't be found. Turns out the SSD-3 slot was a bit loose, needed a flash light and a ton of un-screwing and re-screwing to catch that. Then, no wifi. Figured I damaged the WLAN card to the point of no return and yet, a complete removal and flash light check shows that it was also just out of place. Miraculously, everything is in place now and I'm grateful for it. Missed the whole debate though lol. Thanks for the video.
Is this chinese blu-ray an official release or a bootleg? I really don't want to buy the dvd if I can get a blu-ray, but if this blu-ray release isn't official I don't think I'll get it.

@@UnkleBen yeah probably. I had to replace a couple rotted boards on it a few years back, but the picnic table was my parents' wedding gift almost 50 years ago, so it was worth it for us.
Was that a new connector you put in? If so do you have a listing or site that you got it from? All the ones I've found have pins on the bottom and not a slot like the one in the video.
How would I convert an existing solar garden figurine into a battery operated unit?? I brought it inside my house and do not have any way to charge the solar panel.
@@marielevin6001 really good question! You can take out the lithium / metal hydride battery and replace it with a conventional battery. It will often glow brighter than with solar, however, expect the battery to only last about 1 week, at most.

My replacement battery is a 9JRV0 and it did not come with a cable because the Alienware cable is attached to the motherboard. How do I go about removing the cable from the old battery? Do I just pull it?

lol I took mine apart didn't see any issues from there, plugged it in to see if the issue would occur; well it did so then I just blew in to the port and fixed it... at least I didn't have solder :)
I have the MiniDisc version of this, and the CD changer has issues where it only reads some discs but not others. I'm definitely going to follow your video and try to clean the laser. Thanks!
In order for ATO to look nice, you need to apply 1 heavy coat by wiping it on in one direction only. The back and forth strokes you did will make it look splotchy and uneven.
Does anyone know what could be causing my Dolby surround to not work anymore? The switch on the headset and the button on the mixamp does nothing. I can open it up again, but I don't know which side is the culprit or what to even test for.
Never EVER use a jack alone to support the weight of a vehicle. The seal on a hydraulic jack piston can blow out at any time. Jacks are for lifting and lowering vehicles not for supporting weight. That's what jack stands are for. Don't find out the hard way by dropping your vehicle on its rotors or even worse dropping the vehicle on yourself. It's a very important thing to teach your kids as well.
I have a Onkyo TX NR7100 and unable to access the 2.network or 3.Bluetooth menus under Hardware setup nor am I able to access the 3.firmware update or 4.initial menus under Miscellaneous setup. Any ideas how to correct this problem.
