Welcome to my channel, where I share the real and raw experience of trout fishing. No sugar-coating, no editing, just the truth. You'll see me face all kinds of challenges, from falling down and tripping on stuff to equipment fails and weather extremes. You'll also see me cook my catch on the streamside, even if it means eating some bugs along the way. This is not your normal fishing show, this is trout fishing as it is. Join me on my adventures and see for yourself!
Non-stop action! Great video Brother. You might have started something with that hook in your eye brow. If we start seeing a bunch of kids with a lure hanging above their eye, we will know who to blame. Lol. Have a good night my friend.
Lots of nice browns... what a contrast in their color patterns and spots... The water is so clear in that one little creek. Cool dam/bridge later on. Fantastic fishing and video MIke.
You caught a lot of largemouth... Cool kayaking video and fishing the docks... surprised no crappie bit it when you were catching the sunfish earlier on. Try a big rubber worm with a split shot and you will land a monster bass.. Outstandingt fishing Mike!
Good show Slayermike! You couldn't miss with that Ned rig. And catching all those Sunnies. Reminded me of fishing with my dad when I was a kid. Have a fantastic weekend 🍀❤️😺
This is so much fun that I need a break from trout occasionally. I am still fishing trout, just alternating every other week. Let me know if you want to do another Saint Croix float again for some pike later this fall after trout season ends in October; this was a random pick from Google Maps and lake link info; I had no clue what I was in for or if I would catch anything I just went 😂
That was a blast. I just started using the ned and can't believe I haven't used it sooner. It is so much fun, and this was a random 2-hour drive one way for a chance of catching nothing, haha
There has to be some big bass somewhere; I talked to a landowner who was out on one of the docks I was casting near and said the lake was filled with those small fish. I did see one big something that snapped my braid, a considerable tug, but I lost it. I was happy I caught something there; otherwise, that 2 hour drive each way would have been for nothing. I just picked a random lake on the map and went there 🤣
@@SlayermikeFishingandMORE hahahaha that’s the one thing about going to those random lakes far from us… if the bite sucks it’s like “oh man I still have to drive home” 😂 😂
@SlayermikeFishingandMORE I tried using a size 14 one in perch color and caught like a 14 inch brown on it.. I was doing well catching pike on that size
The fishing would have been way better if it had been cloudy out. There was a spot I didn't get on camera where the creek flowed through an area with all bedrock bottom, and the walls around it were small cliffs with tiny waterfalls and vines hanging down them. It looked like a perfect zen spot
"I've hurt my hip." Didn't like hearing that, I know all about that sort of thing. Too much. Glad you got out okay. Also, fishing rods are not good wading staffs. Thanks for sharing! (I wouldn't even think of fishing without a wading staff these days.}
I was waiting for that whole creek to happen. The rocks were nonstop and slippery and awkward to hike through. I ended up stumbling a lot there. My hip popped, and I couldn't stand up for a bit, which was a bit scary since walking out was 2.3 miles, but I made it. I bought a wading stick before and somehow lost it while hiking upstream and never purchased another; maybe it is time, lol
Oh my, hope you are oke Mike, has happened to me too man, great fishing trip and a few nice ones landed too, thanks for the trip, thumbs up and greetings,, Tony.
Good morning my friend . Looks like kind of a nasty spill you took. Don't go crippling yourself up or you won't be able to bring us these videos. Best wishes to you Brother.
