Thanks so much for the video. Its sold me on Akiflow but I also realised I don't use the capabilities of Notes as much as I could! Off to watch the rest of your videos!
Oh dear. Im sure this is a valuable video - and i was looking forward to hearing what you had to say - but i could barely understand a word you said. If you could just slow down a bit ... Sadly, i think this simply confirms that i am way beyond the age of the audience you are looking for. Sorry.
Your videos are really awesome and easy to consume, intuitive and interesting :) Keep it up! Btw I tried downloading Akiflow to my iPhone but couldn't find it😭
Thank you very much for sharing. I plan to send more people your way to watch this video because you brilliantly nailed the quandary of combining all these applications. It's the thing I've been looking for. I have ADHD, and I've been trying to get this type of planning to work between Sunsama, Notion, and Google Calendar.
Thank you - this was very helpful! Question: how to do I prioritize when my manager either make everything a priority or her priorities change by the hour. It's making keeping my work straight difficult and it's hard to schedule set times to do anything because I always have to move around my scheduled tasks. I already struggle with being a detailed-oriented person (my manager is highly aware of this and jokes about it frequently as she has the same issue) and I'm starting to feel overwhelmed and paranoid that I'm going to drop the ball on something. I've spoke to her about this, but there's been no change.
Maybe ask her if you and her can plan your weekly calendar together and have some space for new things that pop in so like 2 hours a day for new/random things and if you and her can sort of mutually agree on it so that you are able to perform well and to your capacity without feeling overwhelmed. explain to her that you not feeling overwhelmed is not just important for you but also for her as then you perform better. but if she still does not support you and your work styles are very different (or she just does not really mould even a little to support you) then it is probably not a great person to work for long term. Sharing from experience as I stuck around in a place like this for 2 years and ended up getting burned out and sick. Take care and please know you are worthy of having your need met.
I have a similar system! My second brain is Google Keep for almost 10 years 🤯 (i'm an android user) and even if i try some fancier note taking apps i always come back to it cause it's so simple and effective. I'd like a folder structure like Apple Notes though. I also have a notebook for loose thoughts like you! (And a category in my notes app when i'm on the go) I'm thinking about moving something on Notion, for stuff that needs more structure and for "library". The only thing with my system is that often it becomes a mess 😂 i have to find a better system to keep up with it, it basically reflects the caos in my head. I liked very much this video and I think it deserve a better visibility ❤ (on this point: i think that adding "the WALL method" on the thumbnail could make the video more captivating, because people love methods and acronyms 👀) I have a curiosity: things like list of ideas (eg yt videos) where do they go on your system?
Totally get that! You don’t have to implement all of them - pick what resonates most with you. My suggestion: focus on eliminating hurry! What are the little things that you can from now on, to slow down a little bit? Hope this helps!
I'm late to the game 😉 Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your dashboard template. It simply replicates the way I think about my daily life and planning. Thank you 💚
Using these, thank you! What are my wins for the week? What's not working? What am I avoiding/procrastinating on? What loops do I need to close? What progress did I do towards my goals this week? What can I do next week to get closer to my goals? What do I wish I were doing more of? Am I on track?
I’m totally team Asana! I use use it together with Airtable. I’ve tried ClickUp and it’s just too complicated. Trello doesn’t have a calendar view on the free plan so Asana all the way 😍
Todoist is soon going to implement a calendar view (weekly and daily too). I was curious to know if you will continue to use Akiflow for calendar blocking because it is quite pricy haha Great content btw!
Hi! I know 🙈 Honestly I think it will depend on two things: 1. How good the calendar view is and how well it integrates with all the other things I see on my calendar. 2. If I am in a season of needing things like sharing availability with other people (kind of like a corporate job or teamwork setting), lots of calendar blocking and needing to connect other stuff to my todolist - I probably would still stick with akiflow! Hope this helps!! And thanks for the love!
Great video! Loved the animations and the "wall" concept. The PARA method wasn't resonating for me either so seeing your revised method was really cool :)
Just watched the intro and I'm already interested (I have a robust system but I am a neurodivergent anxious nerd :D), because yes a bit sick of people showing systems that are not sustainable in the long run
Fellow neurodivergent - I agree a lot of the 'second brain' content involves highly intricate systems but I think at the end of the day, dont follow any one person's system. Make your own! and keep refining until it is just what you need.
Actually, the reason I left is because I kept getting so distracted when I had notion open. I was constantly wanting to build new pages and decorate and find new ways to organize information - instead of actually using it. (probably because I create content about this stuff) However, I still LOVE notion. I think it is an amazing application and I recommend it a lot to my coaching clients. I still use it for some very specific cases.
For sure! I'll be making a more detailed tour of my notes app at some point. In the mean time, you can find some examples for the notes for my headquarters in the building a productivity system video! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tBQPCW0kgrM.html
Hey! I think having multiple apps is totally fine, specially how you described it - having a very clear categorization of what goes in what app. I do recommend that everything "note" related be in the same app so you can move things around as needed!
Your HQ 03:24 its perfect 😍, the folders are similar to what i have going on( i use onenote) only 10x better and well thought out. The checkpoints folder, i had to take a screen grab 💯love it. Plus the domains of order is interesting. I'll re-watch this before my march💐 planning session. Btw, I randomly found your book on Everand and was excited ☺to get started on it. I'm only a few pages in and already like your writing style and use of simple english.
This makes me sooooo happy. Thank you for buying my book!! Hope you enjoy it and find some gems in there! Love one note! I'm glad you're finding inspo in my system!! ♡ Thanks for the love
Hi! I'm using notion in this video! There's tons of content you can find online for it! Here's a link to check it out if you're interested: affiliate.notion.so/i3mxwtbxkr7i
20$/Month are you crazy ? not worth it don't even waste your time before you start talking about thus Garbage you should make it clear that is cost money
RU-vid Recommendation is insane; this is nearly the exact mishmash productivity system i am trying to build!! Thank you this has helped so much! although, i am trying to move from apple notes into capacities: would you consider building this system in capacities? I would be really interested in how you would go about structure on that app, because i am STUCK
Hey!! Yey! So glad you found the video! Hmm.. I have honestly never tried capacities. At the moment I am happy with apple notes so I don't think I'd be migrating any time soon. But hopefully this serves as inspo on how you can organize your system there!
I’m gonna be honest with you I prefer akiflow. The main difference for me is when using akiflow I can keep all of my tasks in akiflow because it has a nice interface to manage them (like inbox and labels), which I was never able you do with sunsama. I always used sunsama as a consolidation app but still kept my main todo list in todoist. Overall they’re both amazing apps, but to simplify my system I prefer akiflow. Hope this helped!

I'm using Sunsama this year :D But I will definitely check Akiflow next year (unless I decide to revamp my entire system again but that's an expensive choice), my brain loves having everything in one place
