You should spend more time trying to understand Dutch history and be more factual. Holland is only referring to 2 out of 12 provinces in the Netherlands which admittedly had a dominant role in our history for a long time and where about one third of our population is living. Calling our country Holland is like calling the USA California.

I have a Puritan ancestor from this group that was on the Mayflower. Degory Priest left his wife and two daughters behind in Leiden to travel to the new world. He hoped to send for his wife and children later after setting up a home. He unfortunately died the first winter there from sickness. The first winter was spent on the Mayflower. His wife remarried another Puritan and did come to Plymouth several years later with her two children. Degory Priest signed the Mayflower Campact. I was never aware that most of these Puritans were from Nottingham in England. This will give me a place to start looking for my ancestor place of birth.
