Hi, I'm Matt from Dinosaur Dracula. This is a side channel so I can upload vintage TV commercials and other clips without clogging up my main channel. I collect TV ads from the '80s and '90s and what I've uploaded is only a small portion of what I have. Check dinosaurdracula.com if you're into this stuff!
NOTE: Everything on this channel was encoded by me, using my own tape collection. Please do not download and redistribute my videos on other platforms without talking to me first. These videos are all color/sound edited; believe me, I know my vids when I see them. Thank you!
I remember a Stephon SNL report where he mentioned a club and "This place has everything...." One of the things he mentioned was "purple stuff' and i automatically knew it was from a Sunny D commercial.
7:40 Who else always was a little frightened of SIMON? That game always seemed demonic a bit to me! LOL Fast-forward to the 2020s: Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones agrees!
PIX had a great lineup of movies during their sweeps. 😄 They must have gotten a bulk rate on Cannon's Bronson and Chuck Norris movies. Seemed like they played all of them.
I remember watching this exact broadcast all those years ago, and recording it onto VHS and watching it back many times. Loved it then and still love it now.
Zima's were the only drinks that I drank, like I'm being serious here. Ever since they stopped making these drinks, I have not had any alcohol since then. Can't even get drunk on my birthday because there's no more zimas here in America anymore. Which is a shame, they need to bring these back and start selling them in America again.
I grew up in Pittsburgh and for my birthday, I was allowed to pick out my present. I was allowed one big toy or two smaller ones so, it was not like I could grab everything but it was overwhelming how many rows and stacked to the ceiling with toys. Sad that kids of today do not know about that and not social (even though we have social media). Most toys were designed to be interactive. I just saw a video that the TOP SELLING GIRLS PRODUCTS are COSMETICS. I mean to the tune of nearly 50 million dollars for kids 6-10. This is truly nuts!
I usually remember watching the 15 second ver. of this commercial on RU-vid when I was a kid before I had a YT account, but I'm also happy that a 30 second ver. of it exists because the ending part of this commercial's probably my favorite part because it's hilarious imo XD lol. 0:26 Peter or Egon: "Safe." 0:27 Pull Speed Ahead and Highway Haunter: "Raaaawr!" 0:28 Peter & Egon: "Aaaah!" 😆Man, I love that part, anybody else found it hilarious or is it just me?
I've become a huge fan of the Purple Stuff podcast, but never really questioned where the name came from. "Purple stuff" just seemed to suit discussions about horror, MOTU, 80s/90s, etc so well. This is really funny, though!
