I loved loved loved your mix. I don't know if I would have particularly chosen this bridge, but it's so refreshing to hear something new, something fresh, for a song I've heard so many times. Thank you for this experience.
"Other sources" and acapella vocals make this a real stereo joy. I have problems with the audio, and the high tones. Al Jardin's voice irritates, too shrill and too loud. In FLAC same problem. Fixable? Well, you know I hate to be a downer.
Wouldn't it be nice is my favourite Beach Boys song. My favourite Beatles song is All you need is love. I've long thought they both are kind of similiar too. Both have fantastic openings that get your attention right off. Both were written around the same time. Both are very positive songs. Both end with a similiar trailing off finale. Both are magnificent classics of pop music that never get old. Brian Wilson and John Lennon were both at the top of their game in 1966/67. ❤
Really Cool and interesting Mix! You definitely succeeded in keeping that mono feeling but having that big stereo sound stage that this albums deserves, also good call having the Bass in the Center.
I’ve always found this song mesmerizing. I suppose it was not considered a big hit as far as charting, but it represented (for me) the hope that SMILE was out (it wasn’t) and The Beach Boys were on top.
I love The Beach Boys for so many reasons. But, most of all for their beautiful harmonies, voices, songs sung with great identifying lyrics because like this song I could identify about a broken heart and having another girl help me. As “In My Room” I most definitely identify with my own feelings with my cheap record player that played 45s and 33 1/3 records. My posters hanging on my bedroom walls showing faraway places . Then there’s “409” “She’s real fine my 409” , as cars were a very important part of my culture as a teenager. Even “ Be True to Your School “ reeks of school spirit as I had way back then as I remember going to Pep rallies and in the fall attending football games. 😊
My first impression : musical unity from a to z, no diversions at all. Even the cantina fits like a glove. Four and a half minutes sound like three. More observations: pending
Well if those kind criminals can a get a cop to follow me ? Lol. They were following me because they’re hot for me. No other reason. 🚶🏾♂️🚶🏾♂️🚶🏾♂️🚶🏾♂️💅🏻💩🚶🏾♂️🚶🏾♂️🚶🏾♂️🐖🐖🐖💩🪨
Reminds me of the girlfriend I had the summer after graduating high school. We were going to 'spend the night together' but never did. Broke up that fall. Songs bring back memories..
¡Me encanta! ¿Entonces vas a hacer tu propia versión de Smiley Smile combinando algunas pistas de SMiLE? No puedo esperar a escuchar el resto de canciones. Simplemente genial :3
my goal is to try doing that eventually, rn im struggling with actually assembling the tracks because of the quality of the tracks themselves, tempo and pitch differences and etc
@@luizansounds If I had the time, expertise, and wherewithall, I would have loved to make my own SMiLE mix. I collaborated on a SMiLEy SMiLE fan mix once, but I would love a stab at the real thing. My idea was to have Roll Plymouth Rock lead into Holidays and then this, as part of the Americana section of my fan album
@@luizansounds oh, I see. I would have just put some reverb and left it at that. I've been thinking about uploading my own personal mix, but idk how to on yt
You know it's gonna make it that much better, you make this, much, much better. BTW I am fed up with overloads of testosterone in this Beach Boys corner. Hope you are a real Luiza.
