Yesterday all of a sudden I remembered being in Amsterdam and taking this ferry several times a day , so I wanted to see if anyone might have a video of it and this came up , nice , makes memories even stronger. I was staying at the ClinkNoord Hostel so I had to take this quite a few times a day , that was back in 2018 and 2019 when I got the chance to be there . Hopefully I will visit again someday .
Hi! I’m landing in Dublin airport in a few weeks from the US. Once landing, how long did it take from the plane to collect luggage and get a ride out of the airport?
I'm not exactly sure because I take carry-on, so I don't have to wait for luggage. I would say maybe add 10 / 15 mins to the length of my video here, to account for the passport check and waiting for bags. As for taxis, I'm not sure because I took the bus into Dublin, which was pretty straightforward. I made a video about that on my other channel if you're interested
@@MetroMark Rather stupid question if you don'y mind me saying so - depends when your bag was loaded and how busy the airport is when you arrive. Taxis are right outside, not very expensive but better value for 2+ people with baggage. There are multiple buses - you can book online 12-14 euro that go directly into town. Do your research for heavens sake - it's all on line. This video was shot at Terminal 1which is for local and short-haul flights. You will arrive in Terminal 2. The 16 bus stop is outside Terminal 1 a 5 min walk. 2 euro into town. Is slower than the other buses as is a local bus. If you plan to stay around Dublin for a few days get the Leap transit card at the store on your left as you exit into the arrivals hall. You can use your credit card. You can use this on the 15 bus right away. Numerous other buses stop out side direct to Cork, Belfast, Dublin etc.

The issue is which gate your next flight will use, or more specifically how far your incoming and outgoing flights' gates are from each other. Schengen gates are spread between the B, C, and upper-level D concourses. Walks may take up to 10 minutes.
Why we didnt not construct a luas to Dublin airport and swords is crazy the metro will take 5 years to build and at a fraction at the price of light rail!
This is one of the few things that I don't like about Schiphol is if you have to fly from or into the runway that is way out on a limb.. Polderdaan I think it's known as, but it's a full 15 minutes at least away from the gate/main terminal building. Amsterdam Schiphol airport has a total of 6 runways more than most airports in Europe by some distance. A very popular hub for people transferring between flights.
Nice Airport But WTF after security you are forced to walk trough a Duty-free Maze that reeks of perfumes & chocolate, Hold my Giant Toblerone! Supposed to be Tax Free The Prices are similar to Tesco & Asda Then you emerge into Like a High Street full of overpriced shops bars & eateries' Looking at the Departure sigh it says 20 mins shopping time to gate number, OK We go down to the gate past more expensive shops trying to rid you of your Holiday money , once at the Gate we enter a Holding Room, waiting for the Flight to be called then Suddenly after about 15 minutes A Large Lady Gate Agent Announces Loudly at Double Humanly possible Speed to come forward & have boarding cards & passports ready for inspection, Like WE were Spoken to as if we were primary school Kids , after been checked we were herded down some old staircase and out onto the tarmac in the rain & wind waiting for a few minutes , till we can cross the tarmac to get to the aircraft. then after climbing the steps in the teaming rain " Hell this is supposed to be the 21st Century. No Ramps in a Cold Climate ! And Finally on the Plane got Ears Busted again with Speed shouting instructions
