I know this video is a bit old, but I have a question. Example, I'm only cutting, say translucent vinyl and I mess up a letter applying it. Is there a way in Rasterlink to crop only a portion of a cut file to only cut a specific area of the file without having to go back to the art in illustrator and making the change and uploading it again?. The reason I ask is the person that runs our printer is not that great at running illustrator. In versaworks for Roland it allows you to do that but I haven't found a way Mimaki will let you. It obviously lets you do that on a print file. I just don't understand why it wouldn't on a cut file. It's very aggravating to have to go through all of the steps to redo the art and import again when it could be a 5 second change in Rasterlink. Thanks.
@@frankrempel8272 I also wish that RasterLink could do this but unfortunately the crop tool does not allow it. I am not sure what printer of ours you have but with RasterLink7 tool and our newer printers that use the ID cut function makes the print and cut process easier. It eliminates most of the cutting issues. We are going to be doing live Webinars soon over print and cut. We would love for you to join and ask questions. Please watch MimakiUSA.com for the schedule.
Thank you, that was very insightful. We just bought a Mimaki printer, plotter, and laminator so we are still learning and these videos are very helpful.
