Thank you so much. I'm not a fan of home plumbing and I've usually let the pro's sort it, but your very clear video gave me the confidence to have a go. Transpired the hot cartridge was all gummed up with a sort of copper powder. Clean it with a Brillo pad and changed the O-rings and voila.
Thank you for showing this video, I have spent two hours trying to get the tap handle off, with a T8 bit I saw on other videos. Then I found out my tap is an Eiger unit, and you mention a 2mm allen key. Does the Eiger have the tiny screw that needs to be unscrewed to get the handle off? Your tap handle just came off after a few turns of the allen key, and I didn't see a tiny screw drop out. (Just got to get a 2mm key, and will try again) Thanks for the clear video
I opened my Panasonic cordless phone and there's an oily substance on the board that prevents the membrane from making contact. I've cleaned it with alcohol and the handset works well for a while, but eventually the problem returns after some time. Not sure what the problem is
This is brilliant, thank you so much. I couldn't find an Allen key that would fit. Having seen the 2mm comment, plus the help of this fabulous video, I now don't have to call out a plumber. Really appreciate the video (and, as others have said, you need to do voice-over work!)
Absolutely love the design of that ridge! Beautiful buiilding. By the way, I understand that thatched roofs can last for decades but some have told me here in Japan that maintainence on them is needed regularly and can be pricey. So, this seems to be at odds with them being a "long-lasting" roof. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly makes people think they require such high-cost, ongoing maintenance.
Hi ! I am writing to you from Grand Angle Productions, a production company based in France who is presently producing a documentary on the nullity of the marriage. The film will be aired on KTO, the French Catholic channel. It will aim at informing about is the nullity of a marriage. For this documentary I’m looking for old wedding footages. So, I am contacting you to ask for permission to use it. If you cannot grant it, would you kindly let me know who I should contact to grant such an authorization?
i have a problem with the cold water cartridge on the other side of the mixer tap, i noticed you are turning the spanner anti clockwise for the hot tap to unscrew, do i turn anti clockwise to remove the cold water cartridge, hope you can help, thanks
Wow, the video quality is phenomenal for a vidicon! The 1" tubes defo blow the smaller ones away. I have a 2/3" Sony from the early 70s which is positively mediocre in comparison (tho actually not a bad camera back in its day). I did have a 1" Panasonic from the mid-late 60s a few years back, but the picture was completely out of whack and I never found schematics for it, so I chucked it figuring it was beyond repair-- boy, do I regret it now! :^(
Great, clear, simple and very very very helpful video!! I used an old bicycle inner tube and wrench to get the collar off; couldn’t get it to turn by hand at all. Sprayed with WD40 and left for a while too, which hopefully helped. Valve removed, and scrubbed with toothbrush and a bit of Kilrock to get rid of as much lime as possible. All refitted and drip disappeared! Thanks!!
I tried this and encountered numerous issues. The tap was difficult to lever off and one of the covers on the tap could not be undone and it got chewed up by the pliers! Ended up replacing the whole thing which was actually very easy. Unfortunately living in a hard water area it seizes everything up…
It was a 2mm allen key. I bought the extra bush and a spare allen bolt just in case. The bush was seized to the base so I didn't use it, but it could easily have been the other way round. Used a bit of grease on the threads. I ultrasonic cleaned the loose parts with kettle descaler. Franke's hotline just rang out - Perhaps closed during Covid?
Amazing. You've saved me a plumber call out during Covid. The Franke manual is misleading in not showing a thread on the cover. I've been trying to pull it off! Bike inner tube and mole wrench did it after watching your clip. Many thanks.
