The creator should not have disabled the shields .. if they were going to do that then the B5 ships should not have fighters and no white stars .. the ST ships were way out numbered
First the artistry of the CG and the use of the cast member's voices was cool. However, this is a fundamental misunderstanding of both franchises. First, Starfleet's phasers, photon and quantum torpedoes are either computer guided or target locked on the target that they want to hit. Meaning the phasers and torpedoes fired by any Starfleet (or any major power in the Star Trek franchise like The Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, Dominion and even most loess advanced species have computer targeting like the Hirogen and the Kazon) would very rarely miss the target. However, the most important difference between the two franchises is the transporter technologies that all of major powers in Star Trek has transporter capabilities. This would change the game. If a battle were going to break out and Starfleet ship could beam weapons and crew onto or off of any of the B5s "younger races" like Earth Alliance, The Narn the Centari and even The Minbari as none of them have any kind of shielding other then the physical hull of the ship and Babylon 5 (the station) also doesn’t have shielding. Even if the two fleets couldn’t communicate neither of them would fire unjustifiably, especially Starfleet but having made that mistake before The Earth Alliance wouldn’t attack unprovoked. The Interstellar Alliance (fledgling or nor) wouldn’t either more would The Independent Babylon 5 (just covering my bases as the uniforms on Babylon 5 are the ones Delenn/The Minbari gave The Babylon 5 crew when they declared independence and there were both White Star vessels and Earth Alliance ships are were present in the battle so nailing down the time in B5 history however it is possibly after season 4 but more likely after season 5. Oh and the Star Trek timeline is impossible to figure out, you have the Enterprise E with Voyager and Sisko command ping the Defiant, so it hast to take place after Voyager returned from the Delta Quadrant but Sisko was in the Celestial Temple, I mean the Wormhole, at that point and with a refit Constitution class ship there too those would have been retired in the 2360s but Sisko entered the wormhole in 2375. And Voyager returned to Earth in 2378. The most likely thing that would happen is, with no ability to communicate because of different technologies, no one would fire at anyone else and since both are from the planet Earth they would speak English so any Starfleet officer, likely Picard or Captain or Admiral Janeway? would beam aboard any Earth Alliance Vessel and speak to any Earth Alliance vessel’s Commanding officer and solve any problems before the shooting starts. The only species that would out right attack A Starfleet ship would be The Shadow, and that might be a fascinating fight. The Vorlons wouldn’t care but they would likely be a Starfleet ships biggest threat but the Vorlons would know that a Starfleet ship wouldn’t attack and just go on about its business.
Dude. Amazing skills. However, your knowledge of the respective technologies is horrendous, and you were clearly trying to handicap the Federation ships.
While all of these crossover vids are cool and all, I prefer when the good guys fight the bad guys, not each other. Unless this fleet is like the one in TOS (Mirror, Mirror) and other ST shows where they went to the alt universe and Starfleet was the Terran Empire. Secondly, there were no Constitution Class starships around during Picard and Janeway's time. The only Starfleet officer to have seen an actual Constitution Class in space without going to a museum would be Tuvok who served on The USS Excelsior under Captain Sulu. At least in this vid. Spock obviously until his passing (no not the JJ trash reboots), Scotty who lived thanks to stuffing himself into a continous pattern buffer in the transporter room, and of course Kirk who lived in the Nexus (weak storyline) only to die in the future. Or did he? .
Clearly B5 fanboys. Photons moving so slow they get dhot down. Magically losing shields Forgetting the warships have Hull armour. Or the biggest difference Starlet weapon lock onto key systems like engines and weapons not just fire blindly.
@@duvetofreason16 Well earthforce is still using pulse cannons with 200mW power and laser batteries vs Starfleet duranium and tritanium alloy also sovereign have ablative armor specifically to absorb energy weapons, defiant have it so flagship would have it also for sure. and also speed formula for photon torpedoed is vmax = V1 + 0.75V1/c so at that distance it should be almost instant hit they are specifically constructed to be fast and have massive range 3.5 million kilometres and also have crazy high yield 25 isotons just shockwave from destroyed torpedo will be enough to vaporize all earth ships no chance survive direct hit with just small hole while their lasers are cutting thru sovereign like nothing. But is we forget ST technology it is nice battle great animation etc.
This based off of Tactical Assault's menu music, I did alot more with it I wanna say it's original but definitely related to other pieces the original composer made in Star Trek Legacy and other games, even in the Legacy Trailer music
I think you need to study up before you drop comments like this. The USS Thunderchild is a canonical ship that saw on-screen action in Star Trek First Contact and it was named after a battleship in HG Wells' War of the worlds. Pretty legit.
I Laught, Every Time They Said Fire at "WILL" / Never Did Like That Basthard on the Enterprise & Jane Way Shot By Her Crew as They Left Dry Dock, She Sucks !!!
@@rhuman8672 Indeed. I love fan parodies of movies and especially this one. Because of all the work they put into it. I saw the original back in 2005. I actually still have it on my computer.
This entire thing becomes stupid the moment the Federation ships lose their shields at the outset of the engagement ... and then open fire first without any attempt to pull back or assess the situation. Who wrote this crap-fest?
Funny, they lost me when they started with a federation ship having a shoot first mentality. "Oh, a shuttle just came through the anomaly... let's blow it up without trying to talk or without provocation."
B5 would get slaughtered. Not even close. Drop B5 in the Star Trek Universe and watch them not have FTL capabilities without "jumpgates". It's laughable that any comparison even exists.
@@lexthelegend1455 Yeah, and? First, space is a vacuum, you don't hear screams, and secondly, if you did, you would hear the whole crew 'screaming', not one guy screaming. Kinda stupid to have that sound effect. Would have been a lot better without it.
