Definitely agree. Even the kids preferred Anthony's at the Nugget in Reno and it was less expensive. I personally think Charlie Palmer is overrated, this is the second location we've tried.
Thanks so much for stopping by and hanging out with us! It is a small but mighty ship and a lot of fun. Make sure you take advantage of tea time (even if you don't drink tea) and absolutely get your fill of Guy's Burger Joint! Happy Cruising!
I was curious about the food menu, if they still served split pea soup from when this location featured that soup and also catered to tourists. Glad they got up to date. I like spit pea soup, but having a giant windmill and soup as the main attraction just wasn't getting it done. After lego land, I always enjoyed going to the Pizza Port right across the tracks as you get off at the down town Carlsbad exit. There they make gourmet pizzas, some out if the spent grains from the craft beer. It is more of a big local hang out with a lot of local young pizza eating surfers and families running around . They also brew an enjoyable root beer. Last time I was there, a visiting Trappist monk with a vow of silence was working in the brewing area, so although the place looks pretty casual, they are serious in what they do. I got myself a Tee Shirt with an illustration of a Monk in his robe surfing a bigger wave, to promote double overhead Ale. If I ever drink beer , their Chronic Ale is a favorite, as they have product all over Southern California.. That associated tee shirt has a paper boy on a sting ray bicycle delivering the Chronicle newspaper. the illustration is on the back, all surfers shun front illustrations, your mom can get those at the mall. I don't hang out with robed monks , but noticed the guy I observed wore work clothes when brewing. instead of the usual cowled robe, he wore a kind of Pancho on top that looked like a robe, but had open sides , with a hood thrown back , looking like made out of some brown fiber that gives a hairlike appearance.
Richard, I think you might be referring to the Andersen’s Pea Soup restaurant in Santa Nella! After hearing you mention it, we might have to add that to our list. We’ve passed it many times, and it’s eye catching, even if it’s known for something as simple as pea soup. Along with Pizza Port. Thanks for hanging out with us!
You definitely can't beat the Dr. Seuss breakfast for the price! Nor can you go wrong with the unlimited Guy's Burgers and fries, the soft serve ice cream, and Blue Iguana for tacos and burritos. The kids love the freedom of being able to grab what they want. Thanks for stopping by and hanging out with us!
That’s too bad 🤦🏽♀️ we noticed there are some locations with more and better options than the one we frequent. It’d really be great to see consistency!
In Walnut Creek CA. white supremacy ideologies and behaviors are the law of the land. From the Racists in Red Trucks to the lying racist Walnut Creek police department these are two aggressive city funded domestic terrorist organizations. Both hate and domestic terrorism are sins. Our sins may be accepted by others, but it is never acceptable to God - II Samuel 11 26:27. Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life.
The kids LOVED the Dr. Seuss breakfast! They also spent a lot of time at Camp Ocean (per their request, they enjoyed it A LOT)! We gave them the freedom to roam the Lido deck when we were present and they helped themselves to soft serve ice cream, Guy’s Burgers and the main pool and hot tub. They opted out of tea time in the afternoons but we think kids may enjoy that (located in the MDR). The kids also had fun during the evening dinner performances. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have. We thank you so much for stopping by and hanging out with us! ❤
Was this a trans Atlantic crossing? I'm on the Silhouette going from Southampton UK to Fort Lauderdale in a few weeks. Can't wait. Looks like you had fun.
This was just a short cruise to Key West and the Bahamas. We had an amazing time, on and off the ship. Food is the best we’ve had at sea, the ship wasn’t crowded at all, and the crew was outstanding! We hope you have a great time ❤️ Happy (and SAFE) cruising!!!
Thank you for the posting. The peso is doing well against the dollar. The price of food and drinks are not super cheap. 20 bucks for a cocktail in Mexico!
The veal was definitely medium. That's great. So often they over do it. Nice to know. I have reservations there on my Oct cruise out of Southhampton. Thanks for the review.
I will say, the side dishes were not as exciting but they did excellent with grilling the meat. It’s a lovely ambiance because you’re inside but they have HUGE windows so you get to feel the breeze. Looks amazing at night 🤩 Hope you have an amazing time! The ship is absolutely beautiful and the crew was wonderful! Happy cruising!
Their menu is huge so you’ll definitely find something other than eggs Benedict! Our server was very accommodating with any changes/additions we requested.
sorry if I missed it but how was the WiFi? do they have starlink yet? any screenshots of the wifi speed you can share? looking for the ping/upload/download speed. thanks
Thanks for hanging out with us! We didn’t mention the WiFi, but it was decent. No starlink yet (at least on this ship). It was decent but we wouldn’t recommend it for anything more than web browsing. We’ve experienced better speeds on Royal and Celebrity.
I'm not sure how this vlog popped up for me to watch, but I'm glad it did. I lived and worked in Torrance for 1/3 of my life. Now I'm retired and live in Las Vegas, Hawaii's Ninth Island. So many Hawaiians, but no King's Hawaiian. We used to eat around the fish tank, so I watched the video carefully until I spotted it. I miss King's terribly. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for hanging out with us! This is a go-to for us every time we cruise out of Long Beach or San Pedro. Consistently good food and friendly service.
loved your last 4 videos, been on Celebrity Reflection and agree the is great. Last time in Nassau We went to the "Graycliff hotel". They have a chocolate and cigar factory also the worlds 2nd largest wine collection.
