Uptight Sugar is an alt-rock collaboration from Cleveland, Ohio. Their sound and songwriting draw heavily upon the influences of 60s/70s Rock n' Roll, Psychedelia and Electro-Pop, evoking vibey nostalgia--both familiar and fresh.
The five-piece formed in 2013 as the now sought after cover band, The Sunrise Jones, rising to regional popularity with sold out shows throughout the Midwest and a dedicated fan base hooked on their incomparable renditions of every song ever loved. As Uptight Sugar, they deliver an original depth of sound reminiscent of classic Beatles, Pink Floyd, Roxy Music and Radiohead, mixed with modern impressions of Tame Impala, Mutemath and Spoon.
Their latest release, "I'm Ok, You're Ok" is streaming now on all digital platforms. Get a full dose of Sugar at the links below.
Sounds great! ... have you guys heard The Reo Brothers of The Philippines homage to this? ... if you haven't I dare you to listen ... go on I dare you! ... a great effort though fair play!
Don't tell anyone, but I think this is even better than the original version. The vocalist sounds just like the original & the background music transitions much better
What an amazing cover, seeing that it has only 55 thousand plus views is what I hate about social media, jewels like this video go almost unnoticed while a video of some kid making faces as if he or she was retarded gets millions of views.
