I'd forgotten all about this car until I saw a Glorious navy blue with cream leather and matching navy blue wheels ( blue face ~ silver inner ) just yesterday...My new favourite old school luxury Super saloon. Great car : Bentley Arnage T Mulliner
Nice car for 5 or 6 K. I hate throwing money away. Then you can drive it without the worry of someone bumping it or scratching it bc you know they will. In my hood we call these "the mark". I was almost interested until I saw the steering on the wrong side.
I paid $25,000 for a used Silver Shadow with the exhaust system falling off of it, it had very low mileage, spent $40,000 on it, redial the leather redo the wood grain, new seat belts, Harvey Bailey suspension, front disc brake conversion to vented brakes, when I sold it I got $15,000 for it. Definitely a money pit. I purchased a 1976 Caprice Classic with $1,860 Mi on it, a brand new Chevrolet for $15,000 in Year 2007, I imagine that the Chevrolet is now worth $75,000, if you want an investment that grows in value by a brand new classic Chevrolet
Circa 1990 the lady in my life had a wedding car business using white Silver Shadows. Because nobody gets married on a Wednesday we swapped cars. I upset the guys in the office by coming to work in the RR. She had fun tearing up the rural parts of Hampshire in my Alfa Romeo 75 2.0TS. Great fun.
Inglebys are excellent, sincere about their cars and Mr Lewis is a good egg, ex music business and easy to get on with. i very nearly bought a Bentley eight from him six or seven years ago, but had to back out at the last minute because between finding the car online and actually viewing it in the metal I learned that the regional government in Belgium (where i live) had moved the goalposts on the age of a classic to qualify for tax exemption, so that wonderful car no longer made the cut. all these years later i'm still a bit sad about it, but most of all i'm upset for wasting Antony Lewis' time, as he'd prepped the vehicle beautifully, ready for sale, and it was exactly what i was looking for. ah, the ones that get away ...
My son has a 1973 Caribbean Blue Silver Shadow. Immaculate condition, low mileage and driven respectfully. He lives in Beverly Hills and is originally from Leyland in Lancashire 🇬🇧 UK. Not bad for a northerner!
