Enjoyed your vid. Had a day with no roof racks so had to use my iSup instead of speeed as the day was too good to miss. Thick rails, minimum rocker and flex deck was all to be adapted to. Took about 15 mins to get the hang and had a great arvo, nothing pretty but fun, which I got from your sesh!🤙
Anthony, love your videos! I'm curious your height & weight? I am currently riding a Naish Mala (8'10" x 30.5" x 4.38" 133L) & feel like I've outgrown it. I'm on the east coast & there aren't any shops that carry Infinity boards (or any aggressive surf oriented SUPs for that matter); so, I can't touch & feel. Any advice on how to go about sizing a new board? I am 6'0, 160 lbs. I would say my skills are just above moderate. Can't seem to find any clear answers on surf SUP sizing. Thanks!
I actually saw Anthony surfing a few years ago at Cottons Point! I was blown away by his style! He did not get in anyone’s way or take advantage using his SUP. Real Aloha surfing! Love how stoked he is and what an amazing athlete!
As an old and decrepit ex surfer I wonder if I could bolt a Zimmer frame to a SUP. Or maybe even mount one on a tow in board and euthanise myself by being towed into a massive set at Pipe. To every youngster reading this my advice is never pass up a chance to go surfing or a set wave, because the party of youth is surprisingly short.
Good surfing cool board. Your takeoff looks way better now that your paddling fron surf stance. Im trying to figure out my fin setup for control down the line, more powerful 6 to 10 foot waves. 8'2 fanatic pro 100L. Woupd love some recommendations. Right now ive got 3 icon vert fins but the thruster in one of the quads for faster turning to catch waves. Need something over 5 inch...tx
Fantastic lesson here. All too often when I am dropping in late, I don’t commit and just fall off the back of my board. After watching this, I will now make it a point to try and drop in on white water, commit to it, and make the wave. Thanks for making this video.
Totally agree with you Anthony. And America, the so-called country of freedom, still does not allow the entry of unvaccinated people into its territory.
at 2:58 ; there are 3 Surfers paddling out into a large wave. Is this the best method to pass those big waves? I have never sup surfing more than 3 feet waves so eager to handle bigger waves. Thanks
Now is difficult to choose between this vid and the vid with Daniel H. At the end I think this is the better. More variety, perfect glassy and all the athletes pumping hard
Great video. Waiting for more/ Suggestion: how to pass the foam prone paddling, how to go out from the inside when you get struck in the middle of the s… set…
