What an amazing looking contraption, it's hard to believe men would risk their lives going up in these things much less going to war in them. How do you find CSM kits? Are they worth the money?
@@sentimentalbloke185 Nucking Futters!! All of them 😂😂😂 I love the CSM Models, absolutely fantastic…They’re comparable with WnW, the only down side is NOT the model, but the instructions. Tho comprehensive, they are just lacking the bit of extra info that WnW instructions gave you. Finally, yes they are well worth the price tag 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Hope this helps 😁😁😁
Steff, this is fantastic stuff, really! I need to view again on something bigger than my phone, and not while working. Sounds like a good way to start my day, cuppa and some ciggies during a rainstorm. 😂
@@BudgetModeller oh is it equivalent to micro set mixed with micro sol?👌, and when should use top coat after using this solution? Before or after? is it ok if I use enamel thinner from a non model kit tool brand ?
@@batharaampera2283 Yes, the equivalent to Micro Set and Sol. Personally I decal before I varnish, but it’s down to your preference. Any enamel thinners works 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
RU-vid decided to pop your channel up, and here I am. I just subscribed. I have a mixed bag of hobbies, and modeling is now one of them. I'll be hanging around your channel from now on...keep it going, and thank you!
Truth be told, I started building models in the 1960s. I just decided to get back into it. What took me so long I do not know. I love your humor, you remind me of myself. Take care. See you soon.@@BudgetModeller
Hi Great stuff. I love modeling. especially aircraft. I watch Nigel's modeling bench, which I find brilliant, except for the fact. even though there is 20+ episodes. only actually finished 2 models. No criticism directed towards him, I have learned a lot, but I am sorry it is like watching paint dry or a kettle boiling, You on the other hand, at least get things done! Thanks very good to watch,
Were there more choices to Rudi Klimke and Ernst Üdet with this kit m8?? P.s. no ww1 tyre on aircraft were black, rather grey, brown or pink(I use the former). Superb, loved this vid🤓👍🏻
Sorry to be off topic but I need help. I picked up the hobby again after a 30++ year break but now I'm on the verge of giving up. Purely because I'm so bad. My models look very poor and my painting/masking looks like an 8 year old did it. Now I don't have stupid hopes like expecting to make great models. I'd be more than happy with "acceptable" but my stuff looks so bad and I'm now thinking I'm too old for this and should just give it up. Do you have any advice that might help?
Improve 1 thing per model…Look back at my first few models on here, they were not that good. Don’t expect to get huge improvements as that won’t happen, it takes time and practice. I was the same when I got back into modelling. Do easy kits, not ones too technical, don’t do PE until you start to feel comfortable, join a Model Club and a Face-2-Face from M4H, if there’s one near you. Above all else enjoy it and don’t worry about how it looks. If you’re unsure, RU-vid is your friend. Research what your trying to achieve 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 It will come, but it’s a slow burner, trust me 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
By the way, I super detailed my engine and when it's all closed up, you can't hardly see any of it.....if you don't glue your cowling on, you can display it both ways....unlike me, who foolishly glued it on.....doh...
@@BudgetModeller, I am a wargamer as well.... I have 28 mm Gauls and Romans, 15 mm Mediaeval and 18 mm Napoleonic figures on the go. I also have about 25 WW1 1/144 planes that we are wargaming with and before we have even finished that project....we started doing WW2 1/144 scale planes....oh, and 4 1/48 scale WW1 planes on the go... nearly forgot my Airfix 1/24 Me Bf109 E-4.... One day I will finish them all...but today is not that day...ha ha ha. Looking forward to your next episode
Bugger was waiting for this. Do you have substack where followers get an email that could include notification of your next episode? Utube flakey with notifications. Thanks Nic
No I don't have substack, but I will look into it. YouPube are a nightmare atm...They keep unsubscribing me from some of my favourite channels, it's pissing me right off!!!
@@BudgetModeller thanks. Trying to avoid the hyperperfectionists that put me off the hobby. I like your approach amongst a few others channels.. Recon there is a market for newbs and returners
It’s not a sprint, the challenge is to have patience building these. I just finished up a Guillows DR1 using monokote instead of tissue. It really came out nice however, I will defiantly make changes to the next one. Mainly not to use all red next time.
I build that trench too... Nice build you did! Seems straightforward but i wish there were step by step instructions and not just a photographe on the box... why do i have an extra 2x C10 pieces left at the end?
@@BudgetModeller oh no that's sad! C10 is the wooden pathway of the trench. I'm assuming it allows you to use the backside wall to double the length of the trench if you care only to do a diorama of one side ?
