There's more to this song than most know. I liked Luke a lot. He struggled and went thru some awful things when he'd disappear. Mostly by his own doing. As a fellow traditional musician and going thru similar struggles myself. Like also losing my dad at 21. So I can truly relate and know what feeling lost and going thru hell is like. Rest easy Luke.
Like many of the comments, I just found this music, love it, and cried when I read he has passed on, damn shame. I feel for all you that knew this man. Much love
It’s an honor to have shared the world with Mr. Bell. The type of voice to fill your ears and leave ya wanting more. I hope the pastures are green on the other side. Rest easy my friend.
I didn’t know who Luke Bell was until yesterday. Sad to find out he’s gone because I love his music! Gone but not forgotten. I’m grateful he left us part of him to hang on to ❤ RIP Luke
Everyone should pray and thank this man for sharing his heart with us, and pray that the father has received him into his kingdom. Thanks Luke, you brought me feelings I haven't felt since Hank ❤
Truly heartbreaking to know this man won’t be sharing his talent and beautiful songs. His songs are so good, they are something I didn’t even know I needed until I heard them.
Where ya been? Hey, mister, in the mirror, where's my friend? I went out on the town And I ain't seen him since Hey-ey, where ya been? Well, I shuffled off to the South I took her right outside the lines And I stopped to greet a stranger at the wall Hey, feller, me and my friend, could we come on in? I heard in here they like to pour 'em tall Where ya been? Hey, mister, in the mirror, where's my friend? I went out on the town And I ain't seen him since Hey-ey, where ya been? Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh-ooh When I turned to my left and grinned I turned and lost my friend The air was thick and sticking to my clothes So, I waited around 'til the end Though I said I'd stay 'til 10 Everybody here knows that's how it goes Where ya been? Hey, mister, in the mirror, where's my friend? I went out on the town And I ain't seen him since Hey-ey, where ya been? Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh-ooh I are, I are, leaning on the end of the bar I outta to take my car 'cause I like to keep my keys More now and then, I come looking for my friend Ain't it funny how nobody saw him leave Where ya been? Hey, mister, in the mirror, where's my friend? I went out on the town And I ain't seen him since Hey-ey, where ya been? Hey-ey, where ya been?
