That boba control should not have been able to kill the inferno four with the Vigilance near the end. He had OB on him that turn. Would have been over the health to kill with Vig.
Hey, I'm playing Young Han vigilance at a big tournament this weekend, and I dont have a lot of opportunity to practice playing the deck. I've played it a bit, and I struggle against Villain Boba (Cunning-Command) and Cad bane (Cunning Vigilance). Any tips and insights on how to play against Boba green (first and foremost) and Cad blue (secondary)? Anything particular to do, or sideboard, or be aware of? Boba green is just incredibly oppressive. Bazine into reliable ramp on T2 playing the leader T3, with either armor or overwhelming barrage. Later on Maul, cunning etc. Appreciate any help.
@AshesFall81 Boba green is not a favorable match up. When you win it is usually because you land a force unit and can even things out with force throw then pound them with Luke. Pillage is actually pretty good if you land it on Boba flip. He wants to play all those cards.
The boba player in round 3 had shoot 1st, no good and maul, he resourced straight off the draw and then resourced again because he had no good plays into that turn, i think that was 100% an attempt to cheat and get the maul put to try pressure the win
Haven't watched it, but I'll venture a guess that Boba Yellow or Bossk Blue win it all. Now let's see if I'm right... Well, I was very close as Bossk Blue made the finals and narrowly lost to Sabine. The meta seems pretty well defined right now, and there aren't that many really viable decks, which is a bit of a shame. I wonder if the next set will see some more diversity of decks come or just more of the same.
@rezzytheskyguy on top of that bossk green, cad blue, kylo yellow/red/green and more that all have multiple tops throughout the format including recent ones to show the format is quite open and is much more pilot oriented than deck oriented
1:01:52 Thanks for the content. However, you may prefer to have one guest at a time. It feels quite distracting to hear you hold two different conversations at once and creates a disconnect. Some of your guests may feel uncomfortable with this at times
@johnfraney4268 Nick's a great player. First thing after these matches was analyzing the issues and learning from mistakes from people who watched. Which is why he keeps showing up in top cuts.
The sabine player 100% should have won game 2. flipping sabine into 5 open mana, then not discarding off the poe attack, then dropping another poe into 7 open mana lost him the game in a pretty much unbeatable position
Hey, i dont know if its just me but id like to tell that in my opinion your thumbnails are getting too overloaded from time to time and for me i feel really discouraged on clicking on your videos. I hope this doesnt sound like harsh critic just wanted to leave my opinion. Have a nice day
Why Waylay instead of Spare the Target? Is bouncing your own units good in any matchups? Or are you not anticipating playing against any units that have Bounties on them? It feels like a straight upgrade to me when you could always run into an Evazan
@@ethangouveia3868 see the thread on MrTimoProductions comment. Waylay is just a tiny bit more flexible. But you could argue that in the current meta spare the target could be better! Especially against Qi'ra's Hylobon enforcer 😎 There's not that many entrenched and frozen in Carbonite going around
Why do you run Echo Base Defender instead of Homestead Militia? It’s still a Sentinel that can be pulled from U-Wing like you’re saying is the main reason for Echo Base, but it also can attack into most early plays and live
@@ethangouveia3868 I've tried running Homestead Militia. But found it not worth the extra condition compared to Echo Base Defender. Loopee is right in that the heroism trait also is really nice, so you can bring back Echo base Defender with Home 1
I've been using A-wing and fang fighter for anti air against villain/cunning decks. A-wing can drop preemptively for a lurking tie threat. And fang fighter is great against any shielded unit and attacks enable Bo leader action.
I'm aware of that but the instances in which you would need to do that versus the amount of decks that run units with bounties makes it such that Spare the target feels quite viable
I think it is the lack of bounties to make spare the target better. Absent that might as well have the flexibility to bounce your own unit, which is relevant to stop opposing bounties. The hosts may have more insight.
Thanks for the amazing opportunity to talk with you guys about this deck!! It was a blast (even tho it was in the middle of the night for me hahaha) Love what you do for this community <3<3
Mr. Loopee. You may not know me, but I've been following the channel for a while and learned quite alot from your masterclasses. Just want to say a big thank you for what you are doing for this community.
I haven’t actually gotten around to watching the full thing yet but I’m planning to. Is anyone playing this struggling with palp. Find it really tough when they steal your big units especially if it’s palp green with heavy ramp
I have not had much trouble with Palp (played a fair bit of the Yellow and Blue versions). You've got to hold the units they would be stealing and then drop when you can answer them or when you don't really mind the steal - I've won a few by playing Luke which they immediately steal and then dropping my Krayt right afterward or using Chewbacca to immediately kill whatever they just took (ie. a Redemption, etc) since the unit Palp takes has to be damaged, etc. A lot of your single-target removal can answer the stolen card too if you absolutely have to because you think they'll run away with the game if you don't kill it yourself. Buuut, if you play around it this isn't always necessary and is a bit of a last resort. You can also use hand disruption against them very effectively since they need to be playing and resourcing each turn to even be able to ramp in the first place, Pillage works very well for this when they're down to 2 cards (which you can force them into with K2, Poe and/or Force Throw) and linking multiple discards together into them when you have Initiative is basically game over for them. Tech is sneakily good in these longer matchups too since you can resource him early and then bring him out later if you run out of gas into them then start pulling from your resource row to answer their last few big plays.
