Born in Pesaro, Eugenio Della Chiara studied with Giuseppe Ficara at the Conservatoire of his hometown, graduating with honours at the age of 19. He has also been a pupil of Andrea Dieci and of Oscar Ghiglia at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. He has performed in Japan, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Turkey, Spain, Norway, Denmark and Ireland. In Italy, he has given solo recitals for some of the most important musical institutions. As a soloist, he has been a guest of the Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo and of the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana. He has worked with conductors such as Diego Ceretta, Jordi Bernàcer and Tohar Gil. He has recorded three albums for DECCA. In 2024, Naxos released his album devoted to the guitar works of Gaspar Cassadó and Frederic Mompou. He plays with violinist Piercarlo Sacco, guitarist Andrea Dieci and pianist Alberto Chines and tenors Juan Francisco Gatell and Mert Süngü. Since 2022, he has been a teacher at the Trieste Conservatoire.
Fantastic performance of a very underrated piece and composer. The way in which he builds the entire piece our of very simple motives is awesome. Always loved it since i first heard it from Segovia.
