What an approach! Would you be okay with me featuring this in my series Weekly Dose of Aviation? Of course you will be credited both in the video and in the description. Thanks!
Landing in these conditions is very dangerous and should not be done unless there is an emergency. In order to land THIS CAT 2 AND CAT3, both the pilot, the plane and the airport must have this infrastructure.
I´ve had that experience on 16th of dec 2022 on flight EW 9558, TFS to DUS, arriving at 5:20 p.m. The captain told to passengers already 1 hour before landing about a difficult landing because of extreme bad weather situation in DUS. My seat in A320 was Window 9A. 2 minutes before landing the aircraft was diving into the clouds - I could see landinglights exactly in the moment the aircraft touched the ground - for me amazing. Reducing of speed was normal. At all moments of this approach I felt safe. Thank You to the very good crew!
In Indian newspaper 2013-14 Theresa's widespread speculation that Boeing from Seattle want to make a manufacturing plant in bidharv ie extreme east of maharashtra state. Was it a false news . It was TOI kolkata edition. I was boasting m ideosyncracy to my TCS, Dy.GM friend. I understand influence of hallucinolgens then asked it to be near durgapur, west bengal. Or in bnkura and purulia district. Generally barren land available there. Use of fertile land for industry created mass police shooting in nandigram and singur. My view were lack of road, potable water or electricity could be only problem. Both three are not any issue in today modern technology days. These insustries availability reduces high cost for learners who undergoes aviation technology training. and engineering courses. More is availability of particular industri, less is cost of learning. Demand supply basic economy issue. More is competition among intelligencia. More is foregn collaboration for staffs to go abraod. Just like IT industry.
Dreadful landing, that Captain ought to have a serious shouting at by the chief pilot and thrown back into the simulator for lots of training. When you end up floating, you just simply hold the attitude and wait for the aircraft to eventually sink onto the ground (won't take too long at 5 feet), you absolutely DO NOT add thrust. It seemed fairly evident he did that just to make the touch down a bit smoother, but the passengers pay for a SAFE landing, not a smooth one (which it wasn't even in the end anyways). As for the communication between the Captain and FO, I certainly hope they pay a bit more attention in their next annual CRM and safety course.
This is the closest real life impression of conditions at Tenerife in 1977 when the KLM 747 crashed into the Pan Am 747. The Korean Air 747 here even has a similar colour to the KLM 747.
Why are you shooting an approach in HDG Hold and V/S? You’d be better off turning everything off and using the raw data ILS. The flight guidance cue is just giving you a heading to nowhere.
