Hi, I have a question. I created a screen recording video in Stream, and it was automatically saved to my OneDrive. I'm using a Stream web part on a SharePoint Online Team site page to display these videos. However, when I update the thumbnail from the Stream page, it doesn't update the thumbnail in the SharePoint page web part. I waited for about 5-7 minutes and then refreshed the page, but it was still unsuccessful. Do you know what causes this behavior?

Hi, thanks for the question! Most of the time it's a caching issue. If you go to Stream, look at the video and see the correct thumbnail then try clearing the browser cache. Hopefully that corrects the problem.

I have been through a handful of SharePoint trainings and you are the first to mention that document libraries are intended for a signal type of content! This is super helpful and will help me to restructure our document control so that it is more user friendly and even easier to set up some of my automated workflows. I was trying very hard to merge content types thinking a document library was an overarching repository for documents.

So three points for clarification if I can get a response, how does moving a document with content type break record traceability as I thought the content type maintained the metadata within the document itself even to load in on a different library with content type. Also to confirm even with content types it sounds like the recommendation here is one content or document type to a library, is this correct? Also is it possible to get the meat of the document you use for SharePoint projects as a template to follow for our own? I see the slides are loaded and shared. Thanks

I loved this video! As an M365 admin myself, along with numerous other admins, I believe we would greatly appreciate a comprehensive video that delves into the intricate architecture of your video portal SharePoint site. It would be immensely valuable to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying framework and how it operates. Just a suggestion ;)!

This is one of the best webinar on SharePoint Record Management & Document Management side.. Of all the SharePoint Online values, ECM or Record Management is probably the least interesting as against collaboration etc as there are not much of materials available on this.. Thanks for this and happy to know more on advanced concepts on these areas. I'm looking to prove SharePoint Online is a best fit for Document Management against OpenText and this video gave me lot of insights on it. Thanks again! Pl do share if you have any additional material on this.

This is quite eye opening, glad I found it. Thank you for the indepth content. You have a lot of information being shown in your slides but its hard to read (e.g. Deparmentment structure). Do you provide the slides anywhere?

I ask you to help in a question of work with Sharepoint. Documents have been saved to the desktop through synchronization. If you accidentally delete a large number of documents and return them using the button, how does this operation appear in the system? Can it show in the system that the documents were allegedly resent somewhere, instead of being deleted? Is it possible to resend documents at once directly from Sharepont or do I need to download them first? Moreover, the computer and all programs are protected and only the administrator has full access. I am in despair, because they say that I transferred documents to an unknown destination, but I did not send anything anywhere.

Hi Moana - thanks for the question. If a library was synchronized to local computer, the first place to look for missing files is a SharePoint recycle bin. The other option might be to restore a library - you can see this if you have site owner permissions to a site. Go to the document library on SPO, click the settings icon and choose the date to rollback to. More info: support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/restore-a-shared-library-317791c3-8bd0-4dfd-8254-3ca90883d39a If the files are moved to another library, the audit log in the Compliance center does keep track of that (assuming it's turned on before the action happened). You may need extra permissions to search this.

Thanks for posting this video. Very informative! Would it be possible for you to share the Flow that automates filling out the fields? I'm relatively new to Flow and would appreciate a good, complete template very similar to how the Flow enables the metadata to automatically fill out the fields in your video. I saw the Flow examples in the blog, but I'm not quite savvy enough yet to build out more complex Flows on my own yet. Any help is appreciated!

I know people are only excited to talk to me because of the [webinar]. But if they talk to me for a while, and maybe people realize that I have something to say. And then one day... we're just talking.
