Mine never worked either. I don't commute much with my car so it wasn't a big deal. However, there are some other discrepancies I noticed with this cluster; I'll be reaching out to support today to get some clarification. I noticed I'm also not able to reset my brake service light with this cluster.
These look great, though more than twice the price they should be... certainly should be no more than $300 given how cheap the components for these are now.
Thanks for sharing this video. Install looks very straight forward but this cluster style isnt for me. I did check out the ID4 cluster you mentioned which actually does look quite nice as the display is a bit more classic in style. Are there other display options for this one? The other thing that kills me is the gaps/margins between the active display and the trim piece on the left, bottom, and right side.
Great video, been wanting to order one. Do you know if they resolved the odometer issue if going back to OEM cluster mileage is not updated to actual mileage ?
Sorry, not entirely sure on that one. I haven’t tested yet. AFAIK as long as the OEM cluster maintains the correct VIN, it should pull it from the car. If not, re-coding the cluster in ISTA should fix I believe.
Really nice, it looks so good :) I'm wondering cause I was thinking about buying E60. Do you like your car and recommend buying such BMW? Can I ask if you had any serious problems?
If you work on cars or don’t mind learning get it. Try to stick to something with an N52 or N51 If you’re aiming for decent performance with reliability.
Would love if you could show the android ID 8 infotainment! The daily use featrures like radio fm and calling / bt Music and maybe boot up time for the unit + the carplay/android functions thx man im subscribing! ( sorry for the denglish im from the netherlands)
No, this is a system on its own. Similar product but different makers and different themes. The ID4Motion has more features and tech built in but for the price, this carlifemall model was my choice.
@@Brian-jv8iyinteresting to hear. Personal experience? I want to modernize my E92 but it seems like it’ll be way too complex and risky… love my car but it sucks having one that’s between the analog ones like e46 and the current computers on wheels
Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean by double obd2 setup? If you’re referring to the black plastic that the MHD adapter is plugged into, that’s my gps tracking system, it has a pass through style connector to the car obd2 port. And yes, you can have the oil gauge enabled in the menus.
Nice! My experience has been pretty solid so far. Someone from the company reached out to me to provide the tracking info and install manual. Got it installed in less than an hour including the filming. Enjoy!
@@cabzyca2953 same. But for about $1,800, for the fully loaded version, I couldn’t justify it. I heard somewhere that the software these run on is open source. So I’ll be looking out for forums to modify / create my own themes if possible.
