Hi Steve I have put gpx details in the description. Thanks for watching and commenting helps motivate me to keep ppl doing the long process of editing 😂😁
A top video you've made Jason. Looks like an epic ride with perfect weather, with some real inspiring country you were privileged to pass through. I loved it and i can't wait for part 2 👍
I find videos boring if it’s just a bike sound. I ride with music as well and prefer watching it with music. Many viewers seem to as well judging by comments but realise it’s hard to pls everyone 🤷♂️. I’ll try and add more bike sound. But all I can do is make videos I like watching and hope others do too.
I’ll try and put more of the motorbike sound in I’m still learning. It’s funny though I’ve had more comments liking the music than any other video so hard to pls everyone. Thanks for watching and commenting I’ll hopefully keep improving 😁👍
@@DesertXMoto - yep hard to please everyone so best to just do what pleases you 👍 But I have noticed successful RU-vidrs like ItchyBoots etc use music sparingly and never over commentary.
@AfricaTwin-Stuff I guess my challenge is I need to get over the weirdness of hearing my own voice 😂 but thanks I’ll try and do part 2 a bit different and break it up more.
You really do catch the essence of that country. It’s some of best adventure riding. Point Plomer Road used to be OK. I drove my Honda Accord up there. Next time was years later on my first GS. Fell off a few times. Last time was with some other BMW riders. Only a few made it through. Not me.
Thanks for sharing the gpx track 👍 Watagans to Congewai ride has been in my bucket list for long time. I was told that it is gnarly at some places, but that didn't look too bad. Time for a solo ride very soon.
Good times. I had a strike for a royalty free purchased track that someone else also purchased, put lyrics over and tried to copyright strike me for. The video still gwtting smoked on FB for it even though I disputed the claim and the strike amwas removed.
I actually just put it into google maps and it found routes for us down. There was service at that lookout. In the video description there’s a Gaiagps link you can see the route and you can download a gpx file. There was one route closed and there was another smaller track parallel to the one we went on it seems. Let me know if anything unclear.
You can use music if artists allow RU-vid and then youtube uses ad money to pay the artists. They auto detect music similar to Shazam when you upload it. It’s like any streaming service they pay per play if the artist has a license with RU-vid which most do. Also you can’t monetise it if using copyright music but I’m too small to do that anyway.
The Oxley Highway looks like a lot of fun whether on a bike or a nimble car like my wife's Polo GTI. The original Mini in the next scene might also be fun. Anthony
Lol that sux aye. You defs came in way to hot directly at that tree branch mate. I live out at putty n ride all the tracks out here on a banshee drifting sideways around all the corners its pretty fun.
I was actually distracted by something and when I looked up I had a second to brake and respond. Lesson learned I guess not to relax and lose focus. That’s awesome you live so close. Any other recommendations around there besides Howes and commission road and old Bulga?
@DesertXMoto yeah man i thought something must of gone wrong there, i did a collarbone last yr, was not good at all! bloddy thing will never be the same again. apparently you can ride all the way to dunes swamp from the back of bakers rd at the very end of putty, ive never done it though just check and make sure its not just a walking track first though. There is the old convict trail not to far from the howes valley trail.saw some footage on youtube was titled unexplored trail or something said it was convict trail in the comments its a bit hectic compared to the howes trail Behind me there is the melaleuca trail that links up with the lillyvale track then box clearing trail. The gate behind me on box gap rd says private property do not enter, its not locked says theres cameras etc (its bullshit its a proper gazzeted trail)and hes never there at all,not far past the gate the track is washed away for about 50metres,we just cut through old mates property for a 100metres then carry on the track. Ive just heard about gaia gps maps looks alot more detailed than google i havent really used it much could be Good to help plan a few trips in the future along with google maps. The track that takes you back past upper colo river is an easy one you can get to mountain lagoon from it and come out comleroy rd
This incident was why I got an airbag vest Link to Tom's (@huskytommo) video is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SxVhtVbhc7A.html follow him for more adventures!
Is there a section of Commission Road which is private property? Your ride of the length of the road suggests the road is open to the public. California Road is closed.
No it’s a public road there’s just a couple of gates at the end. I haven’t done California trail but the other guys have apparently been closed for a while.
😂 yeah this one caught me by surprise and had the worst line possible too! They never look steep on the GoPro wide angle lens either. Hope you didn’t get into too much trouble 😁👍.
Another enjoyable episode. Don't be too hard on yourself for the editing, the only thing I would do personally is use softer transitions. There is a clip that is repeated, 2:43 and 2:58. Hi from NZ, Anthony
Thanks I was still learning and realised later I duplicated a part and probably cut this too much after the earlier videos being too long. On my recent videos I’ve stopped doing transitions and think it’s better to just cut curious what you think? I’m tempted to redo my earlier videos again. Anyway have a multi day trip over new years that should have plenty of good footage next year! Thx for your feedback and glad you enjoyed 😊
Fantastic video - inspired me to do the ride, was planning for tomorrow and just checked National Parks website and it looks closed again. "Applies from Wed 22 Nov 2023, 9.50am to Thu 29 Feb 2024, 10.00am. Last reviewed: Wed 22 Nov 2023, 10.00am. Closed parks: Wombeyan Caves. Closed - Wombeyan Caves Visitor Precinct will remain closed as it is inaccessible while the local Councils repair flood damage along Wombeyan Caves Road from both directions. The road is now closed from both Mittagong and Taralga." Wil have to wait it seems 🤦♂
That’s just the caves part closed you can do this ride no problem. See a comment further down for route and more info. Have a good ride just make sure prepared as it gets remote. Let me know if any other questions. And thanks so glad you enjoyed it 😁👍
How good is that crest when you first see the canyon on the eastern approach to swallowtail! I like that ride. Was that guy down there on an FJR1300??? I know its been freshly graded but thats pretty keen!
Yeah it’s a cracker hey. The poor guy had slid out so was a bit shaken as he waited for some help just before we arrived. I definitely wouldn’t want to attempt this on a road bike on road tyres. He might want a GS.
From Sydney can do it as a solid day trip. It would be a good overnight ride too with some add ons as there’s camp spots up there. Make sure you have enough fuel range if you have a small tank it’s 208km total with climbs etc. If you use use the option to avoid freeways on google maps this link should give you the start and end refuelling maps.app.goo.gl/o87pUxuHuRvaM3rR8?g_st=ic I forgot to record the route on Gaiagps for this but will try to include this for future rides.
@@DesertXMoto I appreciate that, still wrapping my head around GPX files and route planning. But keen to see how capable my 890 is. Keep up the cool vids!
This is an awesome video Jason. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Some really enjoyable an diverse scenery there. As a viewer, I loved journeying through the many different rural landscapes, creek crossing, through state forests and traversing along some pretty steep, yet inspiring mountain wilderness areas. Coupled with perfect song choice, i really think this is your best video thus far. Keep up the great work 👍
10:19 - This is where I stacked last time going the other way with airbag deployment, watch video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WtxZ77A8Elc.html
