The thing to remember about Imogen is that only Charlie and Nick know how bad Ben is and they can't say anything without outing him. As others have said, I don't think Charlie's parents are against Nick himself or the relationship, they just think Charlie is too young for actual sex and want to put obstacles in the way of that.
With Charlie’s parents, remember, their reaction is because he was bullied in school for an entire year by people like Nick. Nick didn’t bully him but others that were similar to Nick did. They’re just afraid of Charlie getting hurt so they are very protective

Charlie's parents. For them, Nick is their son's first boyfriend, they don't know about Ben, nobody knows about Ben, only Nick and he keeps Charlie's secrets very well, I thought Charlie's parents' reaction was normal, parents of straight couples also forbid the children of being locked in their room or being alone all night in the same room, especially when they are 15 and 16 years old like the characters, and because of this reaction I found the series to be more truthful than the one where they let their children sleep together. and the father has already mentioned the wedding of the two cuties
Hello my dear! one thing I have to say about school, Charlie, Tao, Isaac are in the 10th year, Nick, Elle, Tara, Darcy, Imogen are in the 11th year and next year Nick and Elle are going to college in another city and Charlie and Tao will stay at school for another year

If you're Tao, you have a choice, run the 200m, play rugby, or reconcile with Charlie. What are you going to choose? Especially as by the time of Tao's conversation with Nick, Tao knows he's going to reconcile with Charlie eventually, he's just enjoying the drama of it all.

Favourite episodes in season 1: Episodes 3 and 8. The first half of season 2 is weak but has some great scenes in each episode but no overall great episode.The second half of season 2, each episode is greater than the one before. In this episode, Elle is in an impossible position. She knows how important Tao and Charlie are to each other but she can see what a strain Tao not knowing is putting on Charlie's relationship with Tao. And the longer this goes on the worse the effect is going to be on her own relationship with Tao that she has excluded him from something everybody else knows. "I'm not surprised, especially if Harry was being a dick to Charlie." She is begging Tao to join the dots for himself.
Heartstopper is so well produced that people don't notice the tiny things that are put into the scenes in every season, like the colors, Nick is blue and Charlie is Yellow, the school has yellow and blue walls, plus the classroom wall behind them is Green(mixture of blue and yellow) in the scene where Nick invites Charlies to the Rugby team when everything turns pink, the school symbol on Nick's clothes changes, in other Alice Oseman books spread throughout the episodes and in the second season there is a parents' meeting scene at school, Ben's parents appear for a few seconds, they look like that type of couple who no longer love each other and who are together out of convenience and who are always having sarcastic conversations at home, I think that's why Ben doesn't knows what it's like to have a healthy relationship and treated Charlie the same way parents treat each other at home
Love your reaction!! Ben is jealous of Nick and Charlie. Ben actually likes Charlie but he is too scared to come out. Ben lashes out at Charlie and puts him down because he hates himself. Hope that helps!!

Tao is very protective of Charlie because Charlie was severely bullied by that same crowd (minus nick), so that's why he's untrusting of Nicks intentions. He's being a good friend, but is a little over dramatic. Give him the benefit of the doubt for now, he will come around.

Charlie/Nick is very different from Charles/Ben. Everyone knows that Charlie had a boyfriend before Nick but no one knows who the person is, Charlie didn't tell anyone, not even his sister. Charlie and Ben spent 6 months together, and Ben never went to the art room, to Charlie's house, to the park, he didn't go on a date... in 6 months. Things Nick made in the first week.
I also knew this fact, and another fact from that same episode, the guy in the RU-vid video talking about bisexuality, is actually a RU-vidr who has a channel about bisexuality and was asked to make that video specifically for the series
