If you have a Roku TV and wanna watch in 4:3 connect your VCR with a coaxial cable and scan for antenna channels. It’ll pick it up as an analog station on channel 3 or 4.
You can clean The moldy tapes with like 25% isopropyl alcohol apart your VCR fast forward it lightly rubbing the tape while it’s fast forward with a cotton ball in the alcohol and then rewind it and do it on the other side of the tape
Thank you! This was my first time finishing the SMB 2 gauntlet on just one continue (granted I had 100 lives but still) so I'm quite proud of this run. And yes I love my Baby monkey shirt. Check out the Monkey Master doc if you haven't already! :)
"2008 when I was like 5" really got me 🤣 Awesome to see collectors of all ages getting involved! Just recently started collecting and aiming for a lot of the rare grotesque 80s horrors/slashers. Some amazing cover art!
Definitely was thinking of playing as her throughout the Monkey Master doc because it's be funny playing as the one female monkey, but had to go Baby since he's the OG. Or maybe Baby is a girl. Idk. Makes me wonder
Hey, your channel is really cool! I recently got a Super VHS player and started watching a few tapes on it. I want to try and record some newer things onto some tapes, but i havent gotten the hdmi2av adapter yet. I wanted to ask: I've looked around online, but cant find a straight answer on how the aspect ratio of VHS tapes works. Tapes normally come in 4:3 aspect ratio, but what if I tried to record a 16:9 clip onto one? Would it fill up a 16:9 area, or get squished horizontally into a 4:3 area? Or something else? Does it depend on the tv I'm using? Im just curious and wanted to see if I could find out before I start trying to work it out myself. Thanks in advance if you see this, keep up the great content.
Hey, thanks for the kind words! I answered a question similar to this a little while ago on either my digital to VHS video or my VHS on modern TVs video. To put simply, I'm not entirely sure. I think it depends on your setup and settings on devices. For me, when I record newer things onto tape, that 16:9 ratio stays true when I record it onto tape and play it back. Then again, I don't have a 4:3 CRT to play it back on so I'm not sure if it would letterbox it upon playback or not. But on my newer, widescreen TV, 16:9 video on VHS stays in 16:9. Not sure exactly how helpful that was. I know some people are picky about aspect ratio, I just haven't had the time to experiment with it.
Thank you! That is very helpful, that's exactly what I was hoping would be the case. I only have a newer TV, so I'm glad it'll keep the video size correct. That was pretty much my last concern before trying it myself, so I think I'll get that adapter soon and attempt to make some custom tapes. Thank you for the help!
I was expecting something like the Danmere Backer VHS Hard Drive Backup System that LGR showed a time ago: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TUS0Zv2APjU.html
Wow dude, the Indiana jones trilogy was always my holy bible growing up too, especially temple of doom, even though I grew to love last crusade most, and now I love raiders most. No, last crusade
Didnt work. I got all the supplies I needed. Plugged the HDMI2AV to my computer and even bought a AV2HDMI for the other side because my tv didnt have av adapaters. The VCR player shows up on the TV fine, but the laptop screen doesn't show up on the TV, and just stays blue screen. When I put in a new tape, that tape plays normally, but like I said, the laptop screen doesn't show up.
Haha, believe it or not I prefer my planners to be pretty basic and not flashy. It survives my backpack and that's good enough for me. I have a high quality leather notebook I use for other stuff so I got the "high-end" notebook thing covered
@@Pboros-mz3rc yeah I was planning on making one, not for selling though. Just for displaying, like my vlog series tapes. I've been too busy this past summer to make one lol
@@Pboros-mz3rc LMAO yeah it's not on purpose, my videos that have been coming out have just been filmed real far apart. That and my lack of hair style contributes lol
@@IanMeyersBHPhe's also got that chameleon thing going where depending on what his hair looks like he could pass for either 15 or somewhere in his late twenties.
@@IanMeyersBHP if for whatever reason college doesn't work out I can more than likely get you a job that pays about 54,000 with the caveat that it might physically destroy you.
2:33 "so, plug the... *thing* into the adap".... WHOA WHOA WHOA.... don't get *too* technical on me :P Nah man, great video overall. I'm doing this same stuff here at my place too.
I swear to God you are a chameleon. Just by doing something different with your hair you seem to go from like age 14 to somewhere in your early twenties.
drive.google.com/file/d/1Qouf_DKRg-RFTXpM0VHywwLkaVM5WdWZ/view?usp=sharing Hey all! Thank you for 1000 subscribers! I now have the ability to monetize my videos, and taking the fact that I spent months on this one into consideration...it would be nice if I could make money off of it. As a result, the entire closing has been muted. Luckily, I do have the Google Drive link above if you want to see it with the original music. Sorry to sort of piss on the finale of this video, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm only in it for the money, after all (jk).
