What about the weapons buttons? I have the TM1600 and throttle, when I go into options and go down the column for the joystick, highlight the weapons fire, it does not pick up my buttons, it stays keyboard "space" and "D" to change, even in game the "space" does not fire. Any ideas?
Same issue for me. Checked in control panel, all joystick buttons are functional but in DCS controls, Weapons cant be mapped to the stick... Also, my PC doesnt pick up the TWCS throttle at all...
this is fucking stupid. how is it 2024 and i cant just assign a simple button in a fucking game? cant even go into calibrate pedals. why can i not assign button in dcs game? all the options are blanked out and only a few things are assigned like basic axis.
When I do this it dosnt allow me to download it specifically in to that floder it makes me copy it in to there and I dosnt seem to work please can you help
A smart person. There is no "fair fight" in combat. You take any and every advantage you can get. Ask any real world fighter pilot. Only reason they don't train for it is because it's too dangerous to practice, but you bet your arse if it somehow came down to the merge and someone thought they had the shot, they'd take it. The AI will also do it to you every time if you try to pull the typical dogfight merge.
This was a 1-1 PvP arena with rules not to fire before the merge. Of course in real life I am firing first. If you are in a fair fight, your tactics suck. But for the sake of a little video I used it as a caption.
You only have the joystick correct? In that case, instead of using the slider for brakes, use it for “thrust”. Then bind another button or computer key to brakes. Let me know if you need additional information.
Late for the comment of the video, I have a question, thank you for answering my question of how to know which button which on the hotas to map I have a second part of the question, so you showed the joystick, what about the buttons on both the throttle and the joystick? How would I click to have it recognize in the control board setting?
I had the same issue, open the t16000m flight pack tab then click "read more" under TFRP tflight rudder pedals (kinda hard to see cuz the yellow back and small blue letters) to download the driver and utility calibration software. if u dont have the pedals just download the driver im pretty sure its the same for all. kinda confusing cuz they have it all separated as of 2024
Im surprised not to see aero braking. I first learned on the su-25t and that may be where i got in the habbit of nose up after touchdown until ive aero braked to under 100
You also could’ve flipped your Asymmetrical thrust protector, put your left engine to full AB with the right at MIL power and oscillate your stick forward and back with the nose to create a steeper dive quicker with full right rudder

you will have to use the throttle on the stick (or the keyboard) to bind the throttle commands. In that case I can't show you exactly how to do it. You may need to create your own modifier to allow you to have the most agility with what you currently have. Let me know if you have any other trouble.
I'm getting pissed. It just says plug in device and I switched USB ports and nothing. Oh wow. I have Windows 11. Does that mean I'm screwed? I see the drivers are for Windows 10 - 11, but nothing else is for 11.... I read that it does work for Windows 11. I guess I just go play DCS without calibration? Well it looks like the stick and throttle both work on DCS, but I have the rudder pedals plugged into the throttle and those are not working for some reason. Maybe I need that adapter?
Yes, I plugged it into the throttle and I ended up ordering that J12 adapter and just plugged that in and now it's reading the rudder pedals on the calibration@@Falling_plane
@@keichupf18 it’s fixed, I would help you but I’ve got no clue what I did to fix it. Try making sure your under throttle when assigning the rudder axis
I just got dcs and the thrustmaster 16000 and you explained every bind in a very clear way that let me understand very easily what I was supposed to do. Great video.
Its not detecting my rudder pedals for DCS but it autodetects them in War Thunder i thought war thunder controls setup was a pain jesus christ help me with this im ab to rip my hairout
I use the TM Warthog HOTAS and also use the TM F-18 stick. I wish the F-15C had a clickable cockpit. Its such a pain without it, as I set up all of my modules pretty much the same way.
Will it automatically tune closest localizer for us when setting Nav mode into it's "landing" section, or is there some setup we need to do in the mission editor?
