Ah yes, I remember those kind of filters on Chevy's in the 1960s. I think 1968 is when they started using spin on filters. The biggest issue I saw with those, other than the mess and trying to get them to seal again, was they would rust out up North. As a service item, the paint gets chipped and flakes off, drive it in the winter in the snow and salt, and after about 20 years, the cannister rusts through! And by that time, you were stuck with whatever you could find in a junkyard or somebody's hoard of parts. I don't think they came out with spin on conversions until the 80s or 90s.
I appreciate it not a not a full-on restoration, more of a renovation, but I do hope there are some rust prevention properties in the new paint applied. Plus, you should try some poly abrasive discs. (Admittedly, a high consumable use product - I've worked in repair shops with vehicle sales, so I'm aware of profit margins!) But they would have reduced the paint removal time considerably! Keep up the good work.
Thanks Kenny! Yes I used a few Rust prevention properties before paint. I also didn’t include in the video our Milwaukee hand tools with a sander tip was used after I got fed up with the tools shown 😂. The primer we use also has rust prevention properties! I appreciate a nice comment and watching our video.
Three lovely original cars. Hope you find good owners for them. Don't slam the 250/8, its too nice and original for that. I would take the 250SE Coupe.
A 1933 Phaeton? I hope I spelled that right. I also see what looks like either a Nova or an Aspen in the back, what looks like an 80s mini-truck, I'm thinking either Ranger or Dakota, through the window, roof line of what I believe to be a Fairlane, and I can't quite make out the last vehicle behind it. Definitely something more modern, though. And do I possibly hear a big block of some kind idling? Cool stuff you guys play with.
First session looks great, interested in the next session. You had better be taking care of your “assistant “ she is working very hard! (So are you and David). PS should I substitute a team leader for assistant?

Cranking the starter while the spark lever is fully advanced could possibly result in a damaged starter! Also, don't try it that way while hand cranking!
I was born in 1955 and have had bikes since I was 13; a BSA C15. I still have two A65s a Lightning and a Thunderbolt. I previously also owned A10 and an A7SS which was a beautiful bike to ride. Whilst I own other bikes BSA will always have that special place in my heart. The bike in the feature is a credit to the owner.
Used to enjoy visiting your museum/showroom when I visited Florida, (I'm in the UK) and I really liked the "relaxed" atmosphere the place has. Sorry to hear about your forced relocation. Best of luck in your new location.
@TheVintageBlake I hope so! You have a great eceletic collection of vehicles. Good to see the Iso's in the background, and I remember the "junkyard" at the rear of the building.
What can I say, just beautiful. I was born in 1960 in the U.K. and am very proud to see a British motorcycles still running and in such amazing condition from my era she is certainly loved.

I stop the video after your rendition of the caprice wagon. Let’s get real. It’s a big old turd from the late 60s and even though it has a 427 engine it doesn’t have anywhere near the power of the smaller car with a smaller engine would have. The fact that you picked it up and somebody did a decent paint job does not impressed me.
@@Johnnywalker651 My mood is fine but the presentation of this video is enough to make me vomit. Just because someone smears a paint job on an old car they think they are the master of all creation.
