Merlin Music brings you professional guitar backing tracks and BOSS Katana patches.
On my channel you will find jam tracks for lead and rhythm guitar in various musical genres, keys and tempos. I will always include the chords the backing band is playing on screen, so you will always know exactly what chord you are playing over.
Music is everything to me. I love writing, recording and producing these jam tracks. I hope you enjoy playing over my tracks as much as I do creating them. If you do, please subscribe to the channel and leave a like and comment.
Happy soloing! Merlin

I did these settings, but instead of the clean channel I put it onto crunch. Probably the best distortion tone that I’ve gotten out of this amp so far.
Man I can't thank you enough for this!!!! Any of the 'Highway To Hell' tones that I downloaded to learn from were only good for the intro/verse, the chorus was just noise, but this actually makes me sound like I know what I'm doing. Hahaha... I'm still new to all this and I'm just starting to re-learn guitar again after a 20 year hiatus, in saying that, in the past 3 months I've bought 5 guitars, the latest being a 2015 Gibson SG Special Les Paul 100 (thankfully the G-Force tuner has been replaced with GOTOH locking tuners). Anyhoo, once again, thank you heaps man!
@BazzFromOz - Hey mate, thank you for your kind comment. That makes me very happy to hear :) 5 guitars in 3 months? That's awesome, lucky you! And the 2015 Gibson SG Special Les Paul 100th anniversary sounds like the perfect guitar to go wild on with this AC/DC Boss Katana patch. And I agree about the G-Force tuners. I also prefer standard locking tuners. Thanks for watching and have fun on your guitar journey :) - Merlin
i wrote a song just l;ike this and i wanna sho it to ya with the covacakls and lead solo i did, the pace and chords are ientival hoiws that dfpr a cpo 0winki dink.
Thanks, mate :) This is one of those videos I had done already before I read your comment. But I'm working on including scale diagrams in future videos, f.e. using the software "Neck Diagrams".
I enjoy this backing track, very musical. it would be nice to have the same or similar in keys that are less used in order to explore all the neck. Thank you.
Hi mate, I've uploaded the preset on the BOSS Tone Exchange: bosstoneexchange.com/liveset/8e47f0ad-05cc-4c72-abf2-ed77a6e18220/? Thanks for watching :)
What are you using to make those settings. Because i just got my first SG with a boss katana-100 mk2 and im a big fan of AC/DC. But i cant seem to find the right settings.
@spacecraft0752 You can download the BOSS Tone Studio app on your computer and connect your Katana via USB. There, you will have access to more editing features, f.e. the solo knob I used in this patch :)
Verse 1: Am C G Em In the shadows of my own despair, Am C G Em Broken pieces scattered everywhere. Chorus: Dm G Tears like rain, C Em Washing away the pain. Dm G Heart in pieces, C Em Lost in life's cruel creases. Verse 2: Am C G Em Silent screams within my soul, Am C G Em Lost, trying to find a way to be whole. Chorus: Dm G Tears like rain, C Em Washing away the pain. Dm G Heart in pieces, C Em Lost in life's cruel creases. Bridge: Am Em Echoes of a shattered dream, Dm G Hollow whispers, silent scream. Am Em Through the darkness, I roam, Dm G Longing for a place called home. Chorus: Dm G Tears like rain, C Em Washing away the pain. Dm G Heart in pieces, C Em Lost in life's cruel creases. Outro: Am C G Em But in the brokenness, a strength is found, Am C G Em A wounded heart can still rebound.
Hey Merlin I really like this. I may actually steal some of the ideals that came to me while listening to it along with the progression for a song I’m writing now. Thanks.
