@@KizmetEnigma I cannot tell how far they would have traveled, because they didn't explain in detail how much "faster than light" the engine is. If they were flying with 1.5 the speed of light, in 1 hour they would have traveled 1,618,879,313.2 km, and about 0.0001711 light years.
Geniuses do like to invent games. I once read the biography of John Nash (the famous schizophrenia mathematician and economist who won Nobel Prize for Economics for his grounding breaking work on Game thoery). In the book, the author described that Nash invented a very popular board game when he was a Phd student at Princeton University. In fact, the author further elaborated that it was common that mathematicians tended to invent games to show their intellectual prowess.
Perfect for getting something done at work :) I always say, if working on a solo project, be as efficient as Mark Wattney, and when working on a group project, be as agile as the Inception team during their planning phase 😎
There was no need for the Old Lady to become "Empress", it got way too much lore, it got too much DnD-ish. Was there a real need for a suicidal prince ? From the match between Howie, Lenny and Sheldon forward, it just lost it's purpose. I did like the Old Lady and the snake, i'm just not sure if i would agree on pieces having influence on each other, such as the poison system. This does look cool though, if i ever see a real three-person chess game, i'll totally check it out
Sheldon's obviously not really a gamer type nerd, at least not an experienced one, judging by his newly invented chess pieces. Those abilities are way out of sync with the base game, they are more related to modern fantasy board games with miniatures than chess type games. Also, who would ever play the serpent, if the risk of using it was associated with such a chance to give the other player an ultimate super piece? Making the whole endeavour quite pointless. :)
