Trista from Texas here. 👋 I’ve always got a craft project in progress. Whether it’s a thrift-flip, or a high-end dupe, I’m sharing my love for DIY’s, new craft supplies, and creative food like cute cupcakes. I try to make every project as simple as possible for you so you’ll feel confident to make it, even if it’s a new technique. Don’t we all love to learn a hack so that we can create projects faster and with less mess, right?
I so appreciate you visiting my channel and hope that you’ll subscribe and hit that bell! I try to post one to two videos a week so let me know in the comments what you’d like to see. You can also visit me on my blog at triedandtruebytrista.com.
Hi! For this tassel, there were 33 pieces of ribbon with various widths (some were VERY skinny). Keep in mind, the ribbon is doubled over to make it look like twice that amount.
Hey there, I generally pick them up whenever I see them so I have a pretty big collection. I can't remember specifically where these came from but it was either the Sales Place (see the mum videos), Amazon, or Michaels.
@@HeyItsTrista oh I see :) I love being that mom that goes that extra mile ama do it for my girls this year but like a graduation one hopefully they come out great
I felt like id gone to heaven! I stress so bad finding all the right ribbon n trinkets for the mums i make! The person who started this business is a genius! Is this the only store like this? Im in Houston Tx and never herd of this town?
When your filling in logos and dings and dents and chips etc use Bondo instead. Once you mix it the dry time is very very fast. And you can apply it very thick if need be.
I’ve been to almost every Fiberfest. I had trouble finding projects and inspiration. I think the punch needle make and take took me about an hour. The Fibernatory in the back used to be filled with examples and demonstrations, but they switched last year to race based meetups.
Thanks so much for this review!! I’m considering the experience in Salt Lake City for my wife and I, and tickets after fees and taxes are 33.81. Would you feel it’s worth it then?
If you're a Friends fan, then I say splurge on it. My best advice though, is go when it's less crowded so that you can really enjoy the space, take in all the exhibits and not feel rushed or have to wait for the prime photos. Skip the merch though - you can probably find better prices on Amazon or at HomeGoods. Enjoy!
I know this is for 2021..but dud they nickel and dime you once you got in? I know food, drink, and the ice trail cost money but did anything else? Were going in Kansas City this year. Thanks!
Hey there! We went again the following year and I don't recall additional fees outside of food and drinks and any vendors. You can buy your skating tickets when you get your tickets but I don't recall anything else -- and I would because I hate when an experience ends up being more than you thought! Have so much fun!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. I was wondering why this is staying on the plastic but the Plaster of Paris just flaked off. Please tell your Dad thank for his expertise:)
Yes, you can. The hair drying (without attachments) spreads the heat out further so keep that in mind if you're holding the item that has the sticker. I think the heat gun is more effective but I have used a hair dryer occasionally. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching. :)
Hi! You staple them to the round backing disk. Remember that you'll want to cover all the staples when you're done so it doesn't scratch them or their clothes. You can cover them with another round cardboard backing disk.
@@HeyItsTrista ok I was just trying to figure it out because I would normally put them in front of the plan ribbons and that seems like it would be hard with the mums already attached.
@@sharic6416 Good point. I would either create your own and not use a blank so that you can make the layering work for you OR disassemble the premade (if possible) so you can layer it the way you want.
