Incredible musicianship, and marvelous cello playing! Bravo! And kudos also to the pianist. I was never an accomplished cellist, but I studied seriously for some years with one of the great artists and teachers- Harvey Shapiro- and those studies helped me immeasurably in other endeavors- yet I am stunned by this crop of players. With all of the terrible decisions made by ours and Europe's political leaders, and the double standards they apply to look the other way when nations or peoples who may be different, or who chart a different course, are being ethnically cleansed, these young musicians are salvaging what is left of European culture. I sincerely hope that EU leadership falls and is replaced by sensible and visionary persons, and that the richness of culture that these young people are sharing can become a basis for reconciliation, peace, stability, and prosperity.
Hahah his father at 01:19 just finds the time to put on his glasses like a boss. I love Roozeman style although it might be controversial, but it’s so full of colors and beautiful sound quality
@ssadocello @UC44Wx_U2BHqNpIvjTSMA4Uw Britten's Cello sonata was arranged for Violin by David. Fun fact Older Cello Treble clef notation was written an Octave higher so it's played an octave lower. If it was still done today, there would have to be a Number 8 below the Treble clef to indicate that it sounds an octave lower.
