Jbrown to me is still undersize I believe, and he and T woods are friends so they may have discussed leaving or read shirting. T woods was good but as these players from portal came in they are better players than T woods and Jbrown
I think you are missing the mark on this one. I don't think neither of them are hitting the transfer portal. I think they both seen the writing on the wall for this year. CU bought in for real Linebackers with Hill-Green, Wester and Chainsaw Chainey. Hill-Green and Bentley are your thumpers. Wester and Chainsaw are your cover LB with speed. They gave Woods and Brown their shot. They are not ready yet. The key word being Yet. Coach Prime and the coaches always keep it 100 with the players. They were probably told that Wester and Chainsaw was moving up to number 2 behind Bentley and Green. Bentley, Green and Chainsaw are seniors, so they told them to red shirt, so they don't lose eligibility and take the rest of this year and leading into next year to get bigger to be those run stoppers with experience like Hill and Bentley are now to the younger LB coming in next year and the 4 star freshmen they have on the team now. This is a smart move for all. They are not going anywhere.
Positive thoughts. I think the UNLV QB who red shirted and is leaving program had me jumping to conclusions. I what a talented Linebacker group. What is best for both JB and Woods. As a matter of fact - Coaching may as you said have suggested redshirt. Redshirt could practice with team and even suit up for games but can’t play. I think Coach Prime will have an incredible Head Coaching career. And personally I think the players who leave will regret in the future. How could anyone leave Coach Prime? I just can’t imagine leaving Coach Prime. Btw- all Coach Prime’s personal slogans, philosophy and wisdom reminds me of Vince Lombardi and his personal slogans. Coach Prime said it was an honor to Coach with Coach Malzahn. How humble is Coach Prime! Media missed that. Cmon - confident Coach Prime a gentleman and class act. It would be an honor to play for Coach Prime and Coach Malzahn or any other Coach- in my opinion has the honor to be on the same field as Coach Prime.
You’re a good man. I feel bummed out too. I believe JB started a few games back and played at least a few quarters and looked good. Coach Hart recognized JB just before the season started and said he was standing out and in running to start. And T.Woods he was learning new position and I believe Coach Hart said certain players would play certain situations. And T. Woods is a fit for 3rd Down Pass Situation. I like Bentley a lot but wonder if T. Woods would have been substituted in the pass coverage a few times. Bentley got beat on big play in pass coverage today. But most of all - JB and T. Woods had enthusiasm and belief in program. I wish the best for both. But what a bummer the Football Team is a Family. I remember in Summer- T.Woods and JB in video at a river and they jumped into with a rope. Injuries unfortunately happen and keep learning from Coaches - ask to be involved in Special Teams. I mean the absence in locker room and practice for both no question will be felt by Linebackers and Coach Hart more than us. It always sucks losing a Teammate. That’s my opinion..
I totally agree Jeremiah was balling in the spring game and did great over the summer! Trevor was being dominant as well. And your right Trevor is needed to cover them RBs coming out the back field because Bentley couldn’t cover RJ the other night but Bentley is a thumper and a down hill LB that will lay a person out running up the middle! But Hill-Green and Bentley got things on lock so I understand why Trevor and Jeremiah redshirt but I hope they don’t go
