Handcrafted in Buenos Aires, Argentina by 40 Grados Sur, Antares Catamarans are the world’s best liveaboard sailing catamarans. From the protected helm and superior steering system to the spacious wood-finished interior, the Antares is built for the serious blue water sailor.
Whether your plans are to go sailing along the east coast of the United States and the Caribbean or to circumnavigate the globe, Antares Catamarans can take you there without any compromise to comfort, livability or safety.
It’s so refreshing to get fact based analysis that considers “real cruising” scenarios. Thanks for helping to dispel myths and to reinforce my vote for Antares!
Great episode. We love the comfort of the Antares underway or at anchor watching the sunset behind a tropical island. We've always had good average speeds while still on a relaxing sail.
Really really love this. As we have owned a previous cat and just purchased an Antares the support online and in person is absolutely huge and one of the reasons we wanted an Antares. Owning a Dean Catamaran (which we loved) was very difficult in getting support as the company went bankrupt so everything was very difficult to replace / repair. The network that has been built and the passion for Antares is SO very important and love there is time and energy spent within this area to ensure the transition process from land to sea is as seamless as possible! Keep up the great work.
This is a great video to shed light on owner's perspective as to why and how they made the decision to move forward with full-time sailing. While I may only be able to live vicariously through others who are circumnavigating or otherwise living their sailing dreams, I've spent some amount of time researching catamarans and fell in love with Antares very early. The design, layout, liveaboard features and considerations for blue water cruising for couples are second to none! All comparisons came back to this particular catamaran.
This was a fantastic video. We really enjoyed hearing from current (and past) owners. Where is information posted regarding the additional forum sessions if one would like to participate live?
Thanks so much for opening this up to those just starting the search. Antares is the only cat that we think the interior is like a home. Can't wait till the next session.
Thanks a lot for putting this together. We weren't able to make the call in "real time" but watched it this morning and some great advice. My wife and I are taking ownership of a new Antares in early of 2021 and many of the changes that you discussed we are incorporating into our boat. New salon, lithium, extended hardtop, etc... Very excited! Is it possible that we can be added to the Antares Owners Forum as well? We aren't owners at the moment but will be in several months. Would love to be a part of it!
Can you do more updated, in-depth, information videos? Beth did two really nice overview (exterior & interior) but would like more like on storage, extras/options, etc...
Love the engines in the middle of the hulls. Shaft drive is by far the best. Everyone I know who own a catamaran with sail drives have had so many issues.
I like the idea of a galley in the main saloon but I’m coming around to your perspective on having it below as it is bigger and more like a "real" kitchen. Beautiful boat.
